Borderless 2.0 Spotlights the Future of Blockchain and Web3 in Nigeria

The second edition of the Borderless 2.0 conference, which took place on November 4th, 2023, in the vibrant city of Port Harcourt captured the attention of tech enthusiasts. The event brought together industry leaders, founders, and tech enthusiasts, both locally and from beyond borders.

Borderless 2.0 emerged as an intellectual arena where discussions spanned a wide spectrum of topics, from the AI revolution to the transformative potential of Web3 technology. The conference featured a stellar lineup of speakers, including some of the renowned figures of the Nigerian blockchain industry, such as Israel Clement, Mo’Jeezy, Charles Freeborn, Daniel Etukudo, and Olusegun Ekundayo.

Also, the Borderless 2.0 conference featured key entities of the industry as the event partners. Notably, the crypto news portal, TheNewsCrypto, was onboarded as the official media partner.

One of the focal points of the event was the talk on the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) in African industries. The speakers emphasized that while AI is rapidly expanding and causing significant disruptions in various sectors, it is not a replacement for human innovation, creativity, and expertise.

Borderless 2.0 also sheds light on the growth and benefits of tech hubs in Rivers State, and the growth of the Metaverse. Prominent figures in the local tech ecosystem, including Richard Pepple, founder of Technovil Innovation Hub; Olusegun of Renaissance Innovation Labs; and Annabel from the Borderless Tech Hub, discussed the crucial role these hubs play in fostering innovation and collaboration.
