Phantom to End Sui Support on September 24 as Users Get One Month to Move Assets

Phantom will stop supporting the Sui network on September 24, 2026, ending an integration that brought SUI and Sui-based assets into the multichain wallet for roughly 20 months.
Phantom and the Sui team agreed to discontinue the integration while leaving open the possibility of working together again. Users have one month to swap their Sui assets into networks Phantom will continue supporting or move access to a Sui-compatible wallet.
The September 24 cutoff removes Sui balances and transaction functionality from Phantom’s interface. It does not move, freeze or destroy the underlying assets because Phantom remains a self-custodial wallet and users retain control of their keys.
Users Can Swap Sui Assets or Move to Another Wallet
Sui holders who want to remain inside Phantom can swap their assets into supported tokens before the deadline, with Phantom waiving fees on the transition swaps. SOL, ETH and USDC are among the assets users can move into while continuing to use the wallet.
Users who want to keep their assets on Sui can instead export their recovery credentials and restore the same account in a compatible wallet. Slush, developed by Mysten Labs, replaced the former Sui Wallet and supports browser, mobile and web access. Suiet remains another native Sui option.
After September 24, SUI and other Sui assets held by the address remain on the blockchain even though Phantom will no longer display balances, send transactions or provide Sui swaps. Users should only enter a recovery phrase into verified wallet software and avoid migration links sent through direct messages or social media.
A similar access problem affected Cosmos users earlier this year when Leap Wallet shut down, forcing users to restore accounts elsewhere rather than moving assets at the blockchain level.
Phantom Added Sui During Its Multichain Expansion
Phantom launched Sui support on January 29, 2025, initially in beta before opening the integration to all users in May. Sui became the first Move-based network supported by Phantom and joined Solana, Ethereum, Bitcoin and Base inside the wallet.
The integration covered SUI transfers, Sui ecosystem tokens, decentralized applications and cross-chain swaps. Sui was still included in Phantom’s experimental AI wallet tools in February 2026, when its MCP server supported wallet addresses and signing across Solana, Ethereum, Bitcoin and Sui.
Sui Network Activity Continues Beyond Phantom
Sui has continued adding network features independently of Phantom, including gasless stablecoin transfers for seven assets launched in May. The network is also preparing post-quantum signature support and has expanded Slush as its primary wallet interface.
SUI traded around $0.83 on August 24 after gaining sharply during the previous week, with no comparable network halt accompanying the Phantom announcement.
Phantom users holding Sui assets have until September 24, 2026 to complete swaps or restore their accounts in another Sui-compatible wallet before Sui transaction support disappears from the Phantom interface.
