Massive XRP Dump on Binance? Here’s What’s Happening

In Brief:

  • XRP whale deposits on Binance reached 1.6 billion tokens over 30 days, the highest level since March 2026.
  • Cumulative inflows more than doubled from August’s low, increasing tradable supply on the exchange.
  • Rising reserves, positive net flows, weaker prices, and greater volume would provide stronger evidence of a coordinated XRP dump.

XRP whale activity on Binance has intensified as large-wallet deposits reached their highest level in six months, raising concerns about possible selling pressure. In his latest update, CryptoQuant analyst Arab Chain revealed that whales transferred approximately 1.6 billion XRP into Binance over 30 days.

XRP Whale Inflows Reverse Months of Decline

According to Arab Chain, this cumulative inflow represents the highest reading since March, reversing the prolonged contraction recorded through July. Deposits weakened over subsequent months and eventually approached 700 million XRP during August, marking the lowest reading across the six months.

However, the trend changed when Binance recorded a daily transfer approaching 300 million XRP, with additional deposits strengthening the broader recovery.

Consequently, cumulative inflows more than doubled from their August low, showing that large holders increased XRP transfers into the exchange. Moving cryptocurrencies into Binance makes them readily tradable, which often raises concerns that large holders may be preparing to sell. Nevertheless, these transfers do not directly confirm a whale dump because investors use exchanges for portfolio rebalancing, collateral, or liquidity management.

What to Look Out for

Moreover, Arab Chain explained that whale inflows become more significant when viewed alongside exchange reserves, net flows, trading volume, and price action. Rising reserves and positive net flows would indicate that deposited XRP remains on Binance, increasing the supply available for sale.

Additionally, weakening prices alongside higher spot volume would provide stronger evidence that whales are distributing holdings into market demand. However, Binance reserves declined from 2.78 billion XRP to 2.61 billion XRP between mid-May and August, representing a six-percent reduction.

Persistently high inflows could create selling pressure if reserves rise and buyers cannot absorb the additional available supply. Conversely, stable prices or falling reserves would suggest whales are repositioning assets instead of conducting a coordinated market sell-off. Therefore, the six-month inflow high confirms increased whale participation, although additional data must verify any massive XRP dump within the market.
