Get ready! This week, between July 28 and August 4, more than $686 million worth of crypto tokens will be unlocked across major crypto projects, which could shake things up in the market.
Projects like Sui, Jupiter, Ethena, and Optimism are set for major one-time unlocks, while others, including Solana, TRUMP, and Worldcoin, are steadily releasing tokens daily.
These unlocks tend to attract trader attention, as they often lead to increased volatility, price dips, or accumulation opportunities depending on market sentiment.
The biggest unlock this week comes from Sui, which will release 44 million tokens worth around $189.6 million, about 1.27% of its total supply. Jupiter is unlocking 53.47 million tokens valued at $32.1 million. Ethena follows with 40.6 million tokens worth $26.6 million, and Optimism will unlock 31.3 million tokens valued at $22.9 million.
Cliff unlocks like these usually involve large quantities of tokens hitting the market at once, which can trigger sudden price movements.
Alongside the one-time events, several major projects are also undergoing daily linear unlocks. These involve tokens being released steadily each day rather than all at once.
Solana leads this category with around 465,770 tokens unlocked over the week, worth $87.6 million. TRUMP is releasing 4.89 million tokens valued at $50.13 million. Worldcoin will unlock 37.2 million tokens worth $44.6 million. Dogecoin is set to release 95.5 million tokens valued at $22.9 million, while Lamden Tao is unlocking 50,400 tokens worth $21.5 million.

Several other projects, including Morpho, Ether.fi, Polkadot, Sei, Jito, Near, Filecoin, and Ethereum Name Service will see unlocks this week as well, ranging between $7 million and $13 million in value.
Last week, over $442 million worth of tokens were unlocked across the crypto space.
Major one-time releases came from Avail, Venom, AltLayer, Sahara, and Soon. Daily unlocks above $1 million were recorded from Solana, Worldcoin, TRUMP, Celestia, Dogecoin, Tao, Avalanche, Sui, and others.
With two back-to-back heavy unlock weeks, traders should keep an eye on how the market reacts. While some may take profits, others may see this as a chance to accumulate.
