The CEO of SpaceX and DOGE supporter Elon Musk took to X to announce that xAI, an artificial intelligence company, will make Grok, an AI chat bot, open-sourced by this week, enabling developers and users to gain access to the source code.
Despite this being a part of the AI sector, the crypto community has noticed that XAI, the token of a blockchain gaming project that almost shares a similar name to xAI, recorded a 4.29% spike in just one day.
Although XAI started the trading day at $1.465, the recent short-term surge pushed the altcoin to cross above the $1.5 level in a matter of minutes. As per CoinMarketCap’s data, XAI is trading at $1.54 after observing a double-digit hike of 16.88% in just seven days. At the time of writing, XAI’s market cap is valued at $426,073,589 as the altcoin moved into the green zone of the daily chart.
