What to Know
- Ali Martinez identifies an hourly close above $1.27 as SUI’s confirmation signal for a potential fourth breakout from channel consolidation.
- SUI has completed three upward breakouts since September 12, with successive consolidation ranges forming at progressively higher price support levels.
- The chart’s projected path extends toward $1.60, while a sustained decline below approximately $1.10 could weaken the bullish channel setup.
Crypto analyst Ali Martinez identifies $1.27 as key resistance, with an hourly close above it potentially confirming SUI’s next breakout. According to Martinez, SUI completed three consolidation and breakout sequences since September 12, with a fourth channel forming.
However, the chart places SUI at $1.18 within consolidation, leaving buyers needing an hourly close above resistance to confirm a breakout. Across preceding weeks, SUI established progressively higher trading ranges separated by consolidation, forming the recurring structure behind Martinez’s bullish assessment.
Earlier channels near $0.70, $0.80–$0.87, and $0.94–$1.06 preceded upward breakouts into higher trading bands, underpinning the analyst’s bullish outlook. Meanwhile, SUI’s latest channel spans approximately $1.10–$1.27, with price returning toward its midpoint following a retreat from resistance toward support. Despite similarities with earlier consolidations, the fourth setup remains unresolved, with another upward breakout needed to extend the sequence.

SUI’s Hourly Closing Signal Could Open a Path Toward $1.60
Martinez requires an hourly candle to close above $1.27 before confirming another bullish breakout from the developing parallel channel. A temporary push above resistance would fail his condition if price retreats below that threshold before the candle closes.
Additionally, sustained trading above $1.27 would strengthen the interpretation that SUI has established a new range beyond its previous ceiling. A subsequent pullback that holds the level could provide further support for the breakout by establishing former resistance as support.
Martinez analyzes the broader price structure on a two-hour chart but specifies an hourly close as his confirmation requirement. His assessment therefore uses the channel pattern to identify resistance and the shorter closing period to assess a potential breakout.
Beyond $1.27, the chart’s projected trajectory climbs through approximately $1.40 before extending toward the $1.60 area at its endpoint. Although Martinez does not explicitly name these targets in his post, his chart outlines that possible path following an upward breakout.
Measured from $1.27, a move toward $1.40 would represent approximately 10.2%, while reaching $1.60 would amount to roughly 26%. Nevertheless, those potential gains depend on price clearing resistance and sustaining the advance rather than returning inside the channel.
Conversely, an attempted breakout followed by a retreat below $1.27 would weaken expectations that another sustained upward move has begun. A sustained decline below the estimated $1.10–$1.12 support area would also challenge the bullish interpretation of the latest consolidation.
SUI’s potential fourth breakout remains conditional, with Martinez identifying an hourly close above $1.27 as the immediate confirmation signal. Until price meets that requirement, the latest channel represents an unresolved consolidation within the token’s preceding series of upward advances.
