Microsoft CEO recently announced a new feature for Windows PCs called Recall, designed to give PCs a photographic memory by continuously taking screenshots to remember and understand user activities. However, this has sparked privacy concerns from Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin, who questioned whether the data captured by Recall would stay on the device or be sent to a central server for processing. Satya Nadella clarified that the data will remain on the device and that users’ activity and data will not be misused or exposed to external breaches. Nonetheless, there is still a lack of clarity regarding the technology’s background and whether the data will be accessible to any third parties.
