In Brief:

  • Franklin Templeton’s XRP ETF attracted $3.5 million, becoming the only XRP fund with positive daily inflows, reaching roughly $483 million cumulatively.
  • Bitwise and Grayscale attracted capital during September, while Franklin remained the sole contributor across several other measured XRP ETF sessions.
  • XRP fell about 10% as the CLARITY Act stalled, while Franklin’s inflow demonstrated sustained interest despite regulatory and market uncertainty.

Franklin Templeton’s XRP exchange-traded fund attracted $3.5 million, becoming the only XRP fund reporting positive daily net inflows. According to SoSoValue, XRPZ recorded $3.5013 million on September 16, lifting its cumulative net inflows toward $483 million among products.

CoinGlass reported a lower $2.73 million inflow for the preceding session, with the entire amount attributed to Franklin’s product. Although the trackers presented different totals, both datasets showed that no competing XRP fund attracted capital during the measured session.

XRP funds recorded no movement on September 15, while the category attracted $8.40 million during the previous trading session. Similarly, the products registered no flows on September 11, whereas Franklin supplied all $3.69 million recorded on September 10.

Bitwise received $6.57 million on September 9, while Grayscale attracted $2.11 million, broadening demand across the category beyond Franklin’s offering.

Franklin Inflows Counter XRP Price Weakness

Significantly, XRPZ drew capital while XRP (XRP) faced considerable selling pressure linked to uncertainty surrounding cryptocurrency regulation in Washington. The United States Senate rejected cloture on the CLARITY Act’s motion to proceed during a procedural vote on September 15.

Lawmakers recorded 50 votes supporting advancement and 49 opposing it, leaving the proposal below the required 60-vote threshold during voting. Consequently, the outcome stalled legislation intended to establish clearer federal oversight for digital asset trading and cryptocurrency businesses.

CoinGecko data showed XRP trading at $1.30 following an approximately 10% decline and a modest recovery toward its current price level.  The asset remained approximately 6.7% lower across seven days and about 30.1% weaker over the previous month. ETF inflows cannot guarantee an immediate recovery because institutional products represent only one component of XRP’s wider trading market.

Nevertheless, Franklin’s results indicate that some investors maintained regulated XRP exposure despite weaker prices and unresolved legislative concerns. Other issuers recorded no positive flows during the session, leaving XRPZ as the category’s sole source of net demand. Franklin’s inflow therefore contrasted with XRP’s declining market price, although broader participation across competing investment products remained limited.
