Celer Network is a layer-2 scaling platform that enables widespread adoption of quick, safe, and affordable blockchain apps on the Polka Dot, Ethereum, and other blockchains. Celer introduced the general state channel network, which was the world’s first. In gaming spaces, blockchain, and DeFi, the core applications of Celer, such as cBridge, have attracted several audiences. It is widely used to bridge tokens, but what is Celer’s cBridge? And how can one use it to bridge tokens? Let’s find out.

What is cBridge?

Celer’s cBridge provides the best cross-chain token bridging with simple liquidity management, high efficiency, and deep liquidity for users. In simple terms, it is a cross-chain token bridge that is user-focused and provides users with deep liquidity. All these features are possible because of the services and functionality SGN, Celer state guardian network provides.

Steps To Bridge Tokens Using Celer cBridge

Below are the steps for making a cross-chain transfer.

Connect The Wallet

Before you explore the various features that cBridge offers, you have to connect your wallet. You must click “connect wallet,” After that, you must select a wallet. So, click on MetaMask to see your current chain and wallet address in the page’s top right corner.

Transfer The Tokens

Now, for example, suppose you have to trans 100 USDT from BNB to Arbitrum, so you will have to follow the steps:

  1. The first step is to select the BNB Chain. You can find it in the dropbox next to “From” and “Arbitrum.”
  2. If your wallet is not connected, you will be asked to switch the wallet to the BNB chain.
  3. Now, you have to enter the amount that you want to send. Under “Receive,” you can see the estimated amount you will receive.
  4. You can also adjust the transfer’s slippage tolerance. However, remember that your transfer might fail with an extremely low slippage tolerance. Typically, it ranges from 0.1% to 0.5%. However, remember that the amount you receive and send will differ. Bridge fees and rates determine this difference.
  5. After you have reviewed all your transfer details, you can click on transfer. After that, a message appears on the screen for your USDT approval. Now, click on Approve to see a message confirming USDT spending on MetaMask. After that, click on Confirm, and your transaction will be finalized.
  6. After you have approved your USDT, you will be asked to confirm your cross-chain transfer. Click on Confirm Transfer after you have thoroughly reviewed all the details. You will be asked to confirm your transaction on MetaMask; click on Confirm.
  7. After you click confirm on MetaMask, you will see a Transfer Submitted message. You can also view your transaction status in “Pending,” present in the page’s top right corner. It might take some time for the fund to deposit in your wallet. You can check the transaction status with the help of BNB smart chain explorer. You can access it with the help of the link present in your transaction history.
  8. If your transaction fails due to insufficient liquidity, you will receive a popup with the reason for the failure. In this case, you can click on Refund in your transaction history.
