The new Civic physical ID card system is strategically layered with the innovative Civic Pass solution which serves as a non-transferable token, offering users secure access to decentralized applications and services while authenticating their status as legitimate individuals.

The rollout of Civic’s physical ID card system includes a meticulous verification process conducted through authorized providers.

Upon successful verification, users can collect their personalized ID cards from designated physical addresses.

In addition to receiving the physical card, users will also be equipped with a digital Civic Pass in their on-chain wallets, symbolizing the soulbound identity token itself.

Civic (CVC) price reaction

Following today’s announcement, the Civic (CVC) token has soared by over 62% to hit $0.318 before slightly pulling back to $0.2605 at press time.

Although today’s price surge was sharp, it adds to a steady rise that has been taking place for the past month likely because of the anticipation towards the Civic physical ID card launch.
