- Securitize secured SEC investment adviser registration, allowing institutional clients to access regulated tokenized investment services.
- Approval adds four regulated capabilities, including advisory, brokerage, transfer agency and fund administration under one U.S. platform.
- Coinbase, Kraken, Galaxy Digital, and Anchorage reflect growing competition as firms expand regulated digital asset advisory services.
Securitize has won registration as an investment adviser with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, strengthening its tokenization platform for institutional investors. According to a press release, the approval allows its subsidiary, Securitize Capital LLC, to provide regulated investment advisory services while expanding the company’s digital asset capabilities.
The new registration broadens Securitize’s regulated offerings as institutional demand for tokenized financial products grows. Moreover, it enables the company to work more closely with asset managers seeking compliant blockchain-based investment strategies.
Carlos Domingo, chief executive officer of Securitize, described the approval as an important milestone for the company’s growth. He explained that institutional investors increasingly value partners that understand both tokenization and regulatory obligations. Consequently, the registration enhances Securitize’s ability to support clients developing investment strategies for onchain financial markets.
Domingo also noted that Securitize Capital strengthens the company’s integrated platform by adding another regulated service. According to Domingo, the expanded platform helps institutions develop and manage investment products designed for blockchain-based financial infrastructure.

Registration Adds Another Layer to Securitize’s Platform
With the latest approval, Securitize now operates four regulated businesses within its U.S. platform. These include an SEC-registered investment adviser, an SEC-registered broker-dealer operating an Alternative Trading System, an SEC-registered transfer agent, and fund administration services.
Together, these capabilities allow the company to support institutions throughout the lifecycle of tokenized securities. Additionally, the broader regulatory framework positions Securitize to deliver multiple services through a single platform.
The registration also reflects a wider shift across the digital asset industry, with several crypto firms expanding beyond trading by adding regulated advisory businesses for institutional investors. Coinbase and Kraken have both introduced SEC-registered investment advisory platforms supported by artificial intelligence. Meanwhile, Galaxy Digital has operated its Galaxy Digital Capital Management LLC division for institutional investment management.
Competition within the sector has also expanded through acquisitions, with Anchorage Digital strengthening its advisory business by acquiring Securitize For Advisors in December 2025. Securitize originally developed that wealth management platform for registered investment advisers before the transaction.
Besides expanding its regulatory footprint, Securitize recently entered public markets through a merger with Cantor Equity Partners II. The public listing complements the company’s broader strategy of building regulated infrastructure for tokenized financial assets.
Conclusion
The SEC investment adviser registration strengthens Securitize’s tokenization platform by adding regulated advisory services to its existing infrastructure. Combined with its public listing and expanding institutional focus, the approval reinforces the company’s strategy of providing compliant solutions for tokenized investment products.
