What to Know
- Bitmine now controls nearly 4.9% of Ethereum’s supply, with its massive treasury valued at approximately $14.8 billion.
- Around 86% of Bitmine’s Ethereum holdings are staked, creating potential annualized revenue of roughly $335 million from staking.
- Bitmine also holds Bitcoin, Beast Industries, Eightco Holdings, cash, and marketable securities, bringing total assets to $15.6 billion.
Bitmine Immersion Technologies has raised its Ethereum holdings to 5,901,112 ETH, giving the company an estimated $14.8 billion position. The company acquired another 53,501 ETH, bringing its total holdings closer to six million tokens.
According to Bitmine, its Ethereum treasury now represents approximately 4.9% of Ethereum’s total supply. Ethereum currently has about 120.7 million tokens in circulation, making Bitmine the largest corporate ETH holder globally.
The latest acquisition further increases Bitmine’s exposure to Ethereum, which remains the central asset in its corporate treasury strategy. However, the company is not simply holding its Ethereum reserves without generating additional returns from the assets.
Bitmine has placed 5,067,309 ETH into staking through its MAVAN platform and several external staking partners. That figure represents approximately 86% of the company’s entire Ethereum holdings, highlighting the scale of its staking strategy.
According to the company, the staked ETH could generate roughly $335 million in annualized revenue. That estimate comes from a seven-day annualized staking yield of 2.63%, based on the company’s current staking position.

Bitmine’s Massive ETH Treasury Gains Another Income Stream Through Staking
Bitmine’s Ethereum strategy combines substantial cryptocurrency exposure with staking activity designed to generate additional income from its reserves. The approach gives the company another potential revenue source while it maintains its large position in Ethereum.
Besides its Ethereum holdings, Bitmine reported 211 Bitcoin as part of its broader cryptocurrency portfolio. The company also holds an $180 million investment in Beast Industries, alongside an $81 million position in Eightco Holdings.
Additionally, Bitmine reported approximately $541 million in cash and marketable securities as of August 30. Combined with its cryptocurrency and other assets, the company reported total holdings worth approximately $15.6 billion.
Chairman Tom Lee has also highlighted Ethereum’s market performance when explaining the company’s continued confidence in the asset. According to Lee, Ethereum outperformed the S&P 500 by 5,430 basis points through August 28.
Lee also identified ETH, BTC, and SOL as the three strongest-performing assets since June 30. According to the chairman, that performance could encourage institutions to increase their cryptocurrency allocations.
The size of Bitmine’s Ethereum treasury, however, also leaves the company significantly exposed to movements in ETH’s market value. A sustained decline in Ethereum’s price could therefore reduce the dollar value of Bitmine’s cryptocurrency reserves.
At the same time, staking revenue could provide additional returns while the company maintains its substantial Ethereum position. ETH traded above $2,400 on Monday, while its price remained relatively stable during the trading session.
Bitmine’s shares also recovered slightly after closing 7.14% lower at $23.80 during Friday’s session. Bitmine’s latest purchase has therefore pushed its Ethereum treasury further into territory occupied by only a handful of major corporate investors. Its growing ETH allocation also gives the company an increasingly significant financial interest in Ethereum’s price performance and staking economy.
Conclusion
Bitmine now holds nearly six million ETH, with approximately 86% of that treasury allocated toward staking activities. The strategy gives the company substantial Ethereum exposure while creating potential revenue from its large staked position.
