Solana Sets a Record With 263,000 New Tokens Issued in a Single Day

More than 263,000 new Solana Program Library (SPL) tokens were minted on September 10, 2026, Solana’s all-time high for daily token issuance, according to Solscan.

The previous peak was 40,000 to 50,000 daily token launches during the memecoin cycle in December 2024.

On the same record day, launchpad data recorded 40,360 launches. Pump.fun accounted for most of the launchpad activity.

The measures have different scopes: the SPL figure covers new tokens minted across the network, whereas the launchpad figure counts tokens issued through launchpads.

September 10 SPL issuance eclipsed the December 2024 peak

Solscan reported more than 263,000 SPL tokens minted on Solana on September 10, the network’s highest reported daily issuance count.

The measures cover different scopes: Solscan counts new SPL tokens minted across the network, while the launchpad reading counts tokens issued through launchpads.

The previous daily high came during December 2024’s memecoin cycle, when launches ranged from 40,000 to 50,000 per day, according to CoinMarketCap. The September 10 total exceeded that range.

Launchpads accounted for 40,360 launches, led by Pump.fun

Solana token launchpads recorded 40,360 launches on the same day, based on data published by Blockworks. Pump.fun issued 34,184 tokens, making it the dominant platform within the launchpad tally.

That concentration puts Pump.fun at the center of the tracked launchpad surge. Still, the platform figure should not be treated as a measure of all SPL token issuance: the 263,000-plus total is a network-wide minting count, while the launchpad dashboard follows a defined distribution channel.

As of September 10, Pump.fun generated $1.8 million in revenue over the past 24 hours, according to DefiLlama. That reading coincided with the record issuance day but measures something separate from token-launch counts.

Pump.fun’s role in Solana’s network economy

Pump.fun had already been a material contributor to Solana’s revenue base earlier in 2026. It contributed $124 million to Solana’s total network revenue of $342 million in Q1 2026, according to CoinMarketCap.

Those quarterly revenue figures offer longer-period context for the platform’s place in Solana’s network economy, rather than a direct comparison with September 10’s one-day issuance record. The record itself was defined by more than 263,000 SPL tokens minted, while launchpads recorded 40,360 launches and Pump.fun supplied 34,184 of them.
