FTX Lawyers May Interrogate Bankman-Fried Family

The crypto communities keenly observed FTX case had taken a few new turns such as the request for interrogating the previous CEO’s parent and sibling. The Bankman-Fried family will probably be answering the FTX lawyer’s question under the oath.

Courts proceedings between the SEC and the collapsed crypto firm FTX are previewed with microscopic from the day of Sam’s arrest. The crypto conman is serving his house arrest period from last month. 

As per the report from Bloomberg, the legal representative of FTX has put forward a request to the US bankruptcy court to interrogate Joseph Bankman, Barbara Fried, and Gabriel Bankman Fried. Also, to submit documents of assets they might have acquired from the crypto firm. Additionally, the legal team is expecting the same to proceed with the ex-top executives of FTX.

Concerns over Bankman-Fried’s

While listing out the reason for this action by the FTX team, people who have knowledge of the subject point out a few. This is an effort by the firm to dig out the wealth that belonged to FTX, as they are in much need of it. The recent filing mentions the creditor’s list to the bankrupt company. And the names are noteworthy as well.

Bank-Fried family in the past had a close relationship with the crypto organization. Joseph, Sam’s father was a tax advisor and helped to form the initial legal team of FTX. Barbara Fried, Sam’s mother is a part of a political community that actively received funds from FTX’s top executive.

Gabriel Bankman Fried is accused to host a meeting for the US Congressman to influence them in a state of an art mansion house. U.S. Rep. Jesus “Chuy” Garcia, Chicago mayor candidate received a $200,000 campaign donation from Sam and was close to Gabriel.

Though John Dorsey, US Bankruptcy Judge is yet to approve the request. The approval might be beneficial for the FTX team.
