Star Atlas announced the launch of the Golden Era Start Sequence. Through an official blog post, the team summarized all of the latest additions to the game on November 19, 2022.
From the Titan Ship Sales to the Special Ship Sales, Stake Sales, and Central Space Station Land and Habitations Sale, players can expect a lot of new additions to the game.
The Golden Era Start Sequence and Its Role
In the Golden Era Start Sequence, players can expect numerous sales. First, there’s the Titan Ship Sale, a mint of three titan ships under a limited-time decreasing discount program.
Then there’s the Special Ship Sales, a unique selection of ships that will also be sold under a limited-time decreasing discount program. Those already holding these assets will get another ship as an airdrop.
These are followed by the Claim Stake Sales, which feature all of the necessary assets. These include claim stakes, mining drills, power plants, and others to be used for mining operations after the mainnet launch.
The Central Space Station Land and Habitations Sale are the last on the list. This relates to the sale of claims to a portion of residential area plots inside the Central Space Stations.
ATMTA is the lead developer behind Star Atlas. Their primary focus will be to reach three main targets throughout the near future, including gaining the Solana Foundation Grant, alongside expansion and interoperability with several other blockchains.
These include Layer-1 and Layer-2 blockchains and their entire ecosystems. The team will also focus on high-level discussions with numerous venture capital firms and crypto and gaming funds.
There are also discussions on how a Star Atlas Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) can play a more active role in stabilizing the economy.
Throughout the announcement, the team also released the first section of the Golden Era (SAGE) Game Manual. It offers a detailed look into the upcoming game and its mechanics.
SCORE was a method implemented in the game through which players could earn with their spaceship NFTs.
The manual details the transition from SCORE to SAGE, resource crafting, mining, resource management, combat, leveling up, and much more surrounding how players can interact with the universe.
Most blockchain-based games have typically had sprite-based 2D graphics or simplistic 3D graphics, which did not live up to the AAA standard found in most mainstream titles developed by multi-billion dollar corporations.
Star Atlas aims to be one of the first games to utilize blockchain technology and bring a cinematic experience to players who want to leverage Play-to-Earn (P2E) mechanics.
With this monumental update, it is likely we will see the game leave a huge impact in the crypto space and create a new standard. A standard that future developers will need to live up to in terms of graphical fidelity in blockchain games.
