Earlier I was browsing the website for the Bitcoin Cash 2022 Conference in Saint Kitts + doing some background research on the various speakers and I have to say, it looks to be a great line-up! Unfortunately I stumbled across some questionable things relating to the speaker who goes by the name Bitcoin Jason and I think it's in the best interest of the community to know who we are associating with and allowing to represent Bitcoin Cash on the world stage. Jason is behind the account u/BitcoinCashCity that has been responsible for merchant onboardings in the city of Townsville (insert Power Puff Girls meme here). This seems harmless enough but he only came onto the scene recently and I was curious about what he was doing before all this.

A Google search for Bitcoin Jason lead me to his LinkedIn page (unable to archive but I took a screenshot) where I learned that his real name is Jason Vause. This is where I really started going down the rabbit hole. Googling Jason Vause took me to one of his Twitter accounts and it was here that I discovered he was a promoter of Bitclub. For those of you who don't know, Bitclub was a notorious crypto ponzi scheme that defrauded investors of over $722 Million USD. Many of the ring leaders and promoters of this fraud, that destroyed the lives of countless innocents, are thankfully now in prison. Anyway, in the Instagram post he linked to you can see that he shared a website called www.bitclubnetworkaustralia.com. This URL is dead but again I Googled 'Bitclub Network Australia' and I found both a live website, which still appears to be soliciting investments from unsuspecting victims, and it's associated YouTube channel. Straight away you will see Bitcoin Jason's face appearing on one of the video's thumbnails. The content of these videos is nothing damning, they are just tutorials for some crypto exchanges. But if you watch this particular video it opens with the Bitclub Network Australia logo and he says "Jason Vause here on behalf of Bitclub Network Australia". On another video you will see that he is wearing a polo shirt that bears the Bitclub logo. At this point Jason seems to have been deeply involved in the Australian arm of Bitclub, and dare I say appears to have been the one leading the operation as he is the only person featured in these videos.

Further searches for ‘Jason Vause’ and ‘Bitclub’ unearthed more Twitter accounts belonging to Jason, the first being @AussieOptions. This is clearly Jason because it is frequently posting his Bitcoin Cash City videos and there are pictures of him and links to his Instagram page. Previously this account was used to refer victims to his Bitclub YouTube channel. The second Twitter account uses the alias @ParkStreetBoy, which pictures Jason and he posted frequently about Bitclub. He also has a Tumblr page which has a collection of Bitclub related posts. The one thing that all these social profiles have in common, is that they linked to Bitclub YouTube videos that are now removed from public view on the Bitclub Network Australia YouTube. Quite clearly, Jason has removed these to conceal his dirty past. Although he failed miserably as he left a massive evidence trail that I have now uncovered.

From everything I outlined above, we know that Jason Vause was heavily involved in Bitclub at least between July 2017 through to December 2019 when the scheme was shut down by the U.S. DOJ and they arrested some of the ring leaders. At this point it seems that Jason pivoted his focus to Bitcoin Cash, which he was exposed to and gained an interest in when Bitclub switched from BTC to BCH. Based on Jason’s merchant onboarding skills, it would appear he’s quite the salesman. But he acquired these same skills while he was profiting off the victims which he lured into the Bitclub fraud. For that, I do not believe he should be given any respect by us or a platform at the BCH conference hosted by u/sunnyskn. BCH has already been badly impacted by thieving scammers like Craig Wright, Amaury Sechet and more recently Mark Lamb. We cannot continue exposing ourselves to this level of risk, which always ends in disaster and further damages the reputation of BCH.
