Dec 16, 2021. December 15 marked the 1-year anniversary of the SpiderDAO project.

SpiderDAO is building a set of standards that can prevent unfair voting on decentralized platforms, packaged with a growing suite of services and offerings such as the secure SpiderVPN, SpiderNest, liquidity and staking programs, and more.

Review of the Last 12 Months

SpiderDAO was a relatively unknown project a year ago, but the team has made considerable progress in 12 short months.

Beginning with the project’s private sale and launch on the PolkaStarter IDO (which met the launch cap in 30 seconds), the team released its SpiderDAO distribution program, Liquidity as Utility (LaU) program, and held many AMA’s to spread the word about SpiderDAO and educate the public about the changes the project would bring.

The project was successfully audited by CertiK, the leading security-focused ranking platform that analyzes and monitors blockchain protocols and DeFi projects, and over 7,000 users around the world were sent physical SpiderVPN routers as part of the initial onboarding campaign.

A redesign of the company’s pro router and rebranding of the website and services was accompanied by the successful creation and sale of unique SpiderDAO NFTs using PolkaPets, and this was followed by numerous marketing campaigns, competitions, and tournaments, such as the listing meme competition, listing on the Liquid exchange, and 2^nd place in the Exeedme Gaming Tournament of CS:GO.

The team pressed forward with additional registrations, certifications, and partnerships, such as registering on the Xangle Credit Report, joining the Defi Gaming Coalition, and completing a bridge to Moonriver via AnySwap and successfully deploying SpiderNest on Moonriver.

Tech developments continued side by side with these initiatives, and the project launched the world’s 1st hardware DAO, performed multiple testnet upgrades and comprehensive beta testing, and released beta versions of Android and iOS apps over the last several months.

One measure of the project’s success is the partnerships it has entered into with recognized names in the crypto space.

A few brand-name organizations that have partnered with SpiderDAO include MobiFi, M247, RioDefi, Kilt, PolkaPets, Lead Wallet, Hypersign, Xfai, Apron Network, Exeedme, Kine Technology, and Derived.

Future Plans

At present, the SpiderDAO team is working on enhancing its token utility and securing future metaverses using innovative metaverse protection protocols built into new, multi-purpose routers that will soon be released.
