This Mystery Whale Isn’t Done Buying HYPE

A mystery whale is still buying HYPE. The pace is picking up. On-chain data tracked on Arkham’s Hyperliquid entity page shows a wallet, 0x6436D088E7a7FbDe1AB5A8Db715…, pulling roughly 487,000 HYPE off OKX, Bybit, and Gate over the past ten hours (August 29, 2026). That’s worth about $40.5 million.

A second address, 0xc745044ae202B60d3eF5EE89A5f67…, fed more HYPE into the same wallet. That wallet then forwarded its stack to a third address, 0x155adFf0BB1C2E9Bb608C50157e3….

Two transfers went out this way. One moved 120,500 HYPE. The other moved 123,150 HYPE.

Reading the Pattern

Direction matters here. Coins leaving exchange wallets and landing in a private address is a buy signal. Deposits onto an exchange mean the opposite.

This wallet follows a repeating three-step pattern. It pulls from multiple exchanges. It consolidates the coins.

Then it forwards the stack elsewhere. That looks like a structured strategy, not a one-off trade.

Lookonchain’s HYPE tracker has logged similar runs from unidentified wallets throughout August. Most of them lined up with periods of price strength.

HYPE’s Price Backs Up the Timing

HYPE traded at $83.18 on August 30, 2026. That’s up 52.0% over 30 days. Price held between $50 and $55 through early August.

It climbed to the low $60s by mid-month. Then it broke sharply higher around August 21.

From there it pushed into the $80s. It briefly touched $85 near August 27 and 28. It settled at $83.18.

This whale’s buying window sits right inside that final leg higher. It bought into strength, not a dip.

Why This Whale Stands Out

Not every large HYPE holder bought this month. Techgaged previously reported the opposite. An a16z-linked wallet distributed tens of millions of dollars in HYPE across OKX, Bybit, and Gate.

Those are the same three exchanges this new wallet just bought from. Techgaged also flagged how fast HYPE can move on concentrated flows.

One stretch saw the token surge over 20% in a single session on similar whale activity. This wallet has kept a steady buying rhythm for ten hours straight.

That looks less like a single trade. It looks like a position still being built. Watch closely if the pace holds into the next day.
