BNB Chain Records a Massive Stablecoin Milestone — What’s Next?

Which blockchain do most stablecoin holders now call home? Not Ethereum. Not Tron. According to fresh Token Terminal data, that title now belongs to BNB Chain.
The Numbers Behind the Flip
BNB Chain currently has about 79.3 million stablecoin-holding addresses, just overtaking Tron’s 76.1 million, marking the end of Tron’s long reign atop this particular ranking.

Holder numbers on BNB Chain have risen 54.5% since late 2024, climbing from roughly 42 million addresses to nearly 80 million in under two years.
Ethereum trails both networks with about 26 million stablecoin holders, followed by Celo at 24.5 million and Polygon at 21.7 million.
Why Holder Count Matters More Than it Sounds
Trading volume can be inflated by bots and speculative churn, but a wallet actually holding a stablecoin balance tells a different story.
Stablecoin holder growth reflects real wallet adoption rather than just speculative trading volume, making it one of the strongest measures of blockchain activity.
Seen that way, BNB Chain’s climb looks less like a speculative spike and more like a steady shift in where everyday users are choosing to park digital dollars.
Is BNB’s Price Catching up to the Milestone?
Despite the record holder count, BNB has not exploded overnight. It’s currently trading near $610.70, up 7.2% over the past 30 days, with the token testing key resistance levels along the way.

BNB has been testing its 100-day moving average near $602, with the 200-day moving average around $647 standing as the next target if that level breaks.
That gap between on-chain milestones and price action suggests investors are still digesting the news rather than rushing in.
What’s Fueling the Surge
Lower fees and fast settlement seem to be doing the heavy lifting. BNB Chain processed 40% of global stablecoin volume in one recent stretch despite holding only about 5% of total stablecoin supply, a sign that the network is winning over small, frequent transfers rather than whale-sized deposits.
That kind of retail-driven growth tends to compound quietly, right up until it becomes the headline.
So if BNB Chain can win the holder count while still trailing in total dollar supply, what happens once liquidity finally starts to follow the users?
