Nexo, along with over 35 prominent cryptocurrency organizations, representing a combined community of more than 170 million members worldwide, has united forces to advocate for the inclusion of a Bitcoin emoji.

Within just a week, the ‘Bitcoin Deserves an Emoji‘ movement has garnered a staggering 10,000 endorsements on the petition submitted to the Unicode Consortium. With a target of 50,000 signatures, this collaborative effort underscores the unity within the crypto community and reinforces Bitcoin’s profound cultural and technological significance.

The “Bitcoin Deserves an Emoji” initiative has garnered support from an extensive list of industry leaders, including Brink, Bitget, Chainalysis, Kraken, Polygon, Brave, BTC Inc, Hacken, and many more.

This collective effort seeks to surpass previous endeavors such as Taco Bell’s campaign for a taco emoji and Tinder’s advocacy for an interracial couple icon.

Drawing inspiration from these multi-year endeavors, the Nexo-led movement exemplifies persistence and creativity in social-economic advocacy.
