Solana’s dApp Economy Is Back Near Its 2025 Peak — The Next Move Matters

Solana’s app economy just posted its best day in nearly a year. Apps on the network generated $7.94 million in protocol revenue on September 11, 2026. That’s the highest single-day total the chain has recorded since October 2025.

Where the Revenue Came From

StonkFun led the pack with $2.48 million. Pump.fun followed at $1.1 million. Formo, Axiom, and Collector Crypt each cleared half a million dollars.

The revenue exceeded Ethereum, Robinhood Chain, Hyperliquid, and BNB Smart Chain combined for the same day. StonkFun’s rise stands out most.

The launchpad only opened in late July 2026, yet it out-earned established platforms just weeks after launch.

Solana Still Trades With the Broader Market

Revenue records haven’t fully decoupled SOL’s price from the rest of crypto. Solana has recovered alongside Ethereum and BNB during broader Bitcoin bounces before, a pattern that shows up again this month.

Strong app activity hasn’t been enough on its own to decouple SOL from Bitcoin’s daily swings.

Price Sits Well Below the Revenue Story

SOL traded at $101.56 as of 11:40 UTC on September 14, 2026, down 3.2% over seven days, per CoinGecko

The chart shows a sharp spike above $104 on September 12, right around the revenue record, before sliding back under $100 the next day.

Price has since climbed back toward $102. Solana has held its own even during choppier weeks for Bitcoin, a reminder that SOL’s price action often lags the fundamentals building underneath it.

What the Gap Between Revenue and Price Means

Solana’s app economy is now producing numbers that rival its 2025 peak. Price hasn’t caught up yet.

That gap has closed before, usually once a revenue trend holds for more than a single record day. With StonkFun still gaining share and the broader launchpad sector showing renewed strength, the next few weeks will likely show whether this record becomes a sustained trend or another short-lived spike that fades once the headline wears off.
