ICP Portugal’s ‘Build on ICP’ Hackathon is back with Powerful Partnership

The hackathon is an opportunity for developers and teams to demonstrate their skills and make an impression in front of judges, top venture capitalists, and established founders. With a prize pool of $10,000, the stakes are high.

The hackathon features two main tracks – AI/Infrastructure and Main/Generic. Prizes for the top teams in each track include substantial cash awards, PR campaigns, fast-tracks to the ICP accelerator program, and grants and funding support.

But the hackathon offers more than just prizes. Participants will have access to training sessions, mentorship from top ICP builders, and a supportive community that encourages growth.

Build on ICP Hackathon Prizes

The Build on ICP Hackathon offers a generous prize pool of up to $10,000.

In the AI/Infrastructure Track, the first-place winner will receive $2,500 in stablecoins, along with a PR campaign, expedited entry into the ICP accelerator program, and additional grants and funding support. The second-place winner will receive $1,500 in stablecoins, while the third-place winner will receive $500 in stablecoins.

In the Main/Generic Track, the first-place winner will receive $2,000 in stablecoins, a PR campaign, fast-track access to the ICP accelerator program, and grants and funding support. The second-place winner will receive $1,000 in stablecoins, and the third-place winner will receive $500 in stablecoins.

The prizes will be announced on July 11th during the IRL Showcase day in Lisbon, Portugal, and winners will receive their awards within two weeks of the announcement. KYC verification will be mandatory to claim the payments.

Eligibility and Event Timeline

There are a few conditions for participation. Teams must not have received a DFINITY Foundation grant for their project, and the project should be unique to the ICP ecosystem, with no similar existing solutions. Participants must be proficient in English, and all team members must be over 18.

• Application Phase: From June 10 to July 1st, developers and teams can apply to participate in the hackathon.
• Onboarding and Training: The onboarding phase runs from June 24 to July 1st.
• Hacking Phase: From July 1 to July 10, teams will work on their projects, using ICP technology to create unique solutions.
• Final Showcase: The hackathon culminates in an IRL Showcase event on July 11 in Lisbon, where the winners will be announced and celebrated.
