U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded about $2.39 billion in net inflows from September 21 to September 25, a sharp turnaround from the $6.1 million recorded the previous week.

The inflows also marked the ETFs’ strongest weekly performance since October 2025. The last time the vehicles recorded a comparable level of demand was during the week ending October 10, 2025, when they attracted roughly $2.7 billion.

From $6.1M to $2.39B

The week of September 14 to 18 ended with about $6.1 million in net inflows. The following week, September 21 to 25, saw a much larger $2.39 billion in inflows, roughly 390 times the previous week.

In dollar terms, the difference between the two weeks was approximately $2.38 billion.

The increase was driven by strong inflows across several major funds. BlackRock’s IBIT led with approximately $1.16 billion in weekly inflows, followed by Fidelity’s FBTC with about $701.6 million. ARK Invest’s ARKB recorded roughly $294.7 million.

Strong Start, Slower Finish

The $2.39 billion weekly inflow was driven largely by strong buying during the first two trading sessions.

On September 21, the ETFs recorded about $999 million in net inflows, equivalent to roughly 12,310 BTC. Buying remained strong the following day, with another $714.7 million flowing into the funds, or approximately 8,250 BTC.

Daily inflows then declined over the rest of the week. Wednesday recorded about $346.9 million, followed by $190.7 million on Thursday and $134.5 million on Friday.

Even with the decline in daily inflows, every trading session during the week recorded a net positive flow.

ETFs Bought 9 Times New Supply

In Bitcoin terms, the ETFs recorded about 28,440 BTC in net inflows last week across the five trading sessions from September 21 to September 25.

Bitcoin produces roughly 450 BTC per day, or about 3,150 BTC during those seven days. Comparing the two figures gives:

28,440 ÷ 3,150 = 9.0×

Put simply, the ETFs recorded about 9 BTC of net buying for every 1 BTC newly created during the week.

That was a sharp increase from the previous week, when the ETFs recorded about 170 BTC in net inflows, equivalent to just 0.05× the Bitcoin newly created.

Bitcoin Rose as ETF Inflows Strengthened

Bitcoin opened the week at around $81,152 on September 21 and closed Sunday at approximately $84,457, representing a gain of about 4.1%.

The largest daily price move came on Monday. Bitcoin opened around $81,152 and closed near $86,587, gaining approximately 6.7% during the session. That was also the day ETFs recorded their largest inflow of the week, at about $999 million.

Bitcoin then gave back some of those gains during the rest of the trading week. It closed Tuesday at approximately $86,201, Wednesday at $84,385, Thursday at $84,383, and Friday at $84,090.

The weekend brought a modest recovery, with Bitcoin closing Saturday around $84,433 and Sunday near $84,457.

Overall, the strongest ETF buying occurred alongside the week’s largest upward price move, while ETF inflows remained positive even as Bitcoin’s daily price momentum weakened later in the week.

The daily figures show a notable relationship between ETF flows and Bitcoin’s price during some of the week’s major moves. However, the data does not establish that ETF flows caused the price changes.
