WhiteBIT Coin (WBT) has reached a $16.1 billion market capitalization on its fourth anniversary, with CoinDesk ranking it among the world’s top 10 cryptocurrencies. The milestone also reflects growing institutional recognition through five S&P Dow Jones Indices benchmarks, while Whitechain has expanded WBT’s ecosystem utility.
WBT entered the cryptocurrency market at $1.62 in 2022 and now trades around $56, representing an approximately 35-fold increase. Moreover, CoinGecko data shows WBT reached a $64.11 all-time high in December 2025 and has gained 28.3% over 12 months.

WBT Expands Utility as Market Capitalization Reaches $16.1 Billion
WhiteBIT originally introduced WBT as a utility asset offering benefits to users of its cryptocurrency exchange. Trading fee discounts formed an important part of the coin’s initial use case.
However, Whitechain’s launch broadened WBT’s functions by establishing it as the blockchain’s native coin. Consequently, its utility now extends across several areas of the wider WhiteBIT ecosystem.
WBT holders can access staking opportunities, referral rewards, Launchpad activities, and trading fee benefits. Additionally, the coin operates as a native asset within Whitechain.
This expansion has accompanied WhiteBIT’s development from a cryptocurrency exchange into a broader digital asset ecosystem. WBT has therefore gained additional functions while maintaining its original exchange-related benefits.
The coin has also reached an important supply milestone during its fourth year. Its full token supply has been unlocked as of 2026.
WhiteBIT maintains a deflationary mechanism that regularly removes WBT from circulation through token burns. Funding comes from 33% of trading-fee income and 5% of income generated through other exchange activities. Under the existing structure, the mechanism aims to progressively reduce supply until 200 million WBT remain in circulation.
Institutional Recognition Adds to WBT’s Four-Year Growth
Institutional recognition has become another component of WBT’s development alongside its $16.1 billion market capitalization. In 2025, five S&P Dow Jones Indices cryptocurrency benchmarks added WBT.
Among them is the S&P Cryptocurrency Broad Digital Market Index, which tracks performance across a broad section of digital assets. Consequently, WBT now forms part of established benchmarks designed for measuring cryptocurrency market performance.
Moreover, the additions provide WBT with greater representation across institutional-grade digital asset benchmarks. They also mark another step beyond the coin’s original positioning as an exchange utility asset.
WBT enters its fifth year with a $16.1 billion valuation, broader Whitechain utility, and recognition across major cryptocurrency benchmarks. Its four-year development now combines market growth, expanded ecosystem functions, and increased representation within institutional digital asset infrastructure.
