Binance Lists Hyperliquid’s HYPE for Spot Trading With Seed Tag

Binance has listed Hyperliquid’s HYPE token for spot trading, adding three pairs as the token trades near $91 following a run that pushed its market capitalization above $20 billion.

The exchange opened HYPE trading at 11:00 UTC on September 24 with HYPE/USDT, HYPE/USDC and HYPE/TRY pairs. Binance set the listing fee at zero BNB and scheduled withdrawals to open at 11:00 UTC on September 25.

Spot algorithmic orders became available when trading opened, while Binance said trading bots and Spot Copy Trading would be enabled within 24 hours. The TRY pair is limited to users with verified Binance TR accounts.

HYPE Receives Binance Seed Tag

Binance applied its Seed Tag to HYPE, a designation used for relatively new tokens that the exchange considers capable of higher volatility and risk than other listed assets.

Users trading Seed Tag assets on Binance Spot or Margin must complete a risk-awareness quiz every 90 days and accept the platform’s terms of use. Binance also displays a dedicated risk-warning banner on tagged markets.

The spot listing expands HYPE access after the token had already developed substantial derivatives liquidity across crypto markets. HYPE has spent much of September in price discovery, reaching a record near $95 on September 19 after breaking its previous all-time high near $89 earlier in the month.

CoinGecko placed HYPE’s market capitalization at approximately $20.9 billion on September 24, with about $1.13 billion in 24-hour trading volume. The token closed September 23 at $93.98 and traded near $91 following Binance’s listing announcement.

Hyperliquid Builds Larger Trading Footprint

Hyperliquid has become one of the largest onchain derivatives venues, with its perpetual futures infrastructure generating hundreds of billions of dollars in monthly trading volume during stronger market periods.

The platform’s growth has also supported demand for HYPE through its fee structure. Trading fees directed to Hyperliquid’s Assistance Fund are used to purchase HYPE from the market, tying protocol activity to recurring token demand.

HYPE’s September rally accelerated alongside rising derivatives activity. The token climbed from $78.23 on September 16 to $97.19 at the September 22 close before retreating over the following two sessions.

Binance’s spot listing adds another centralized liquidity venue at a time when HYPE already trades across large decentralized and centralized derivatives markets. HYPE/USDT, HYPE/USDC and HYPE/TRY were live on Binance from 11:00 UTC on September 24, with the Seed Tag remaining attached to the asset.
