Our strategic decision to transform QuarkChain into an Ethereum Layer 2 project is the culmination of two years of intensive research. By embracing Ethereum’s commanding market presence, we see an opportunity to harmonize our proprietary sharding technology with Ethereum’s developmental trajectory.

QuarkChain’s Technological Differentiators: zk Fraud Proof and Parallel EVM

Our current core technology to differentiate QuarkChain’s layer 2 from others is the zk Fraud Proof technology, which aims to reduce the finality time of Optimistic rollup from 7 days to 1 hour (see the proposal here).

We have also conducted extensive research on Parallel EVM and decided to implement it into QuarkChain’s Layer 2.

Parallel EVM emerges as a groundbreaking solution to amplify the speed and efficiency of the Ethereum network by concurrently processing multiple transactions.This concurrent processing capability accelerates transaction throughput, reduces congestion, and minimizes fees — a real-world analogy to alleviating hassle and saving time.

It facilitates simultaneous processing of multiple transactions, enhancing user experience and reducing network congestion. Transactions are verified and finalized swiftly, minimizing wait times, reducing gas fees, and bolstering security.
