Solana reduces its block time to 250 milliseconds, without gaining capacity, the same day the network breaks the crypto transaction record.

Solana has tightened its clock a third time since August with 250 milliseconds per block, compared to 300 before. A speed gain, not capacity. Coincidence or not, the announcement comes on the same day the network shows a record of more than 5 billion monthly crypto transactions.
