This Hyperliquid price prediction comes right after a sharp rejection from resistance, and now a fresh piece of on-chain news is adding another layer to the story.

HYPE pulled back hard from a key level just as a large Bitwise ETF wallet moved a sizeable chunk of tokens toward an exchange, the kind of combination that tends to keep traders glued to the chart. Here is the full breakdown of where HYPE could go from here.

HYPE Price Today: Live Data and 24-Hour Change

Hyperliquid is trading near $79.077 at the time of writing, holding just below the ascending trendline it has leaned on through the past day of price action on the 1-hour HYPE/USDT chart on Binance.

CoinGlass data shows HYPE at 79.127 dollars, down 0.91% over the past 24 hours, a mild pullback that lines up with the sharp fall the pair took after tapping resistance.

The broader footprint behind this Hyperliquid price forecast remains substantial. Market capitalization sits near 19.99 billion dollars, with open interest around 2.91 billion dollars, showing heavy leveraged positioning around current levels.

Futures volume over the past 24 hours came in near 2.51 billion dollars, alongside spot volume of about 141.35 million dollars, a gap that points to derivatives traders driving most of the recent activity.

Circulating supply stands at 251.69 million HYPE out of a 951.73 million total and max supply, meaning roughly a quarter of Hyperliquid's total supply is currently in circulation.

Hyperliquid News Today: Bitwise Moves 6.7 Million Dollars in HYPE

The Hyperliquid news cycle right now is centered on an Onchain Lens post flagging that Bitwise's BHYP ETF wallet deposited 84.32 thousand HYPE, worth close to 6.71 million dollars, to Coinbase around six hours before the post, a transfer typically read as a precursor to selling. Hyperliquid bitwise News Today

On-chain trackers noted this was not an isolated move either, with the same wallet cluster showing several other transfers to Coinbase and Hyperliquid system addresses over the preceding days.

This kind of hyperliquid news today matters for sentiment because ETF-linked wallets moving tokens to exchanges are often watched closely as an early signal of institutional profit-taking or rebalancing.

Whether this specific transfer actually gets sold on the open market or simply repositioned remains to be seen, but the headline alone is adding a layer of caution to an already fragile bounce attempt on the chart, feeding directly into the broader Hyperliquid trend analysis picture.

Quick Take

  • CMP: 79.077
1-hour trigger level: break and close above 82.488
1-hour failure level: break and close below 76.554
    Data as of: September 15, 2026, around 10:42 UTC+5:30
Risk note: this is a short-term 1-hour setup, so confirmation needs a full hourly close rather than a quick wick through either level, and any move beyond the trigger is a directional zone rather than a precise number

HYPE Technical Forecast: Trendline Test After Sharp Rejection

Looking at the HYPE/USDT perpetual contract on the 1-hour Binance chart, Hyperliquid recently ran into resistance at 82.488 and fell sharply from that level, wiping out much of the prior push in a handful of candles. Hyperliquid technical analysis

That kind of fast rejection from a level that has already acted as resistance before tends to shake out short-term longs quickly, and it is exactly what happened here.

Since that fall, HYPE has found support along an ascending trendline, the same trendline that produced an aggressive upward move on its first retest earlier in this same structure.

Price is now sitting right at that trendline again, effectively testing whether the level can hold a second time after already proving itself once.

A trendline that has already delivered one strong bounce carries a bit more credibility on a second test, since it points to real buying interest rather than being an arbitrary line on the chart.

The chart's momentum reading adds some context too. The oscillator is sitting near 41.01, below the midpoint, though it did flash a bullish tag a little earlier in this same recovery leg.

A sub-midpoint reading alongside a recent sharp rejection suggests momentum has cooled off from where it was during the bounce, which is part of why this Hyperliquid technical analysis and this HYPE technical analysis both treat a clean 1-hour close back above 82.488 as the real confirmation point rather than just a return to the trendline.

If HYPE holds this trendline and manages a break and close above 82.488 on the hourly chart, this HYPE price prediction favors a move toward 87.032 as the next resistance zone, with 89.720 as a further target if momentum keeps building on top of that, strengthening the broader HYPE forecast for the sessions ahead.

The bitwise transfer adding fresh selling pressure right now makes a clean reclaim of 82.488 more meaningful than it might otherwise be, since it would show buyers absorbing that supply rather than folding under it.

On the downside, if the trendline breaks and HYPE closes below 76.554, that would suggest this second retest has failed, and the next support to watch would be 74.885, a level close enough to the current range that it should still draw some buying interest given the broader structure.

The full HYPE price target list below breaks down these hourly levels alongside their distance from the current price.

Major Resistance 89.720 +13.5%
Resistance 2 87.032 +10.1%

Current Price 79.077

Bull, Base, and Bear Scenarios for Hyperliquid

In the bullish case, HYPE holds this trendline retest and delivers a 1-hour close above 82.488, showing that buyers can absorb the recent Bitwise-linked selling pressure and take back control of the short-term structure.

If that happens, this Hyperliquid price outlook could realistically extend toward 87.032, with 89.720 as a further target if the move keeps strong follow-through.

The base case has HYPE chopping between 76.554 and 82.488, while the market digests both the sharp rejection from resistance and the on-chain selling headline, waiting for either a confirmed reclaim of 82.488 or a clear break of trendline support.

The bearish case plays out if 76.554 gives way on a closing basis, which would mean the trendline retest failed and the earlier bounce was more of a short-term relief move than a genuine continuation.

In that scenario 74.885 becomes the level to watch, an area close enough to the current range that dip buyers have a reasonable chance of stepping back in.

Risks to This HYPE Price Outlook

This is a 1-hour timeframe setup, so it can play out or invalidate within a matter of hours rather than days, and it should be treated with that level of short-term caution.

The Bitwise transfer is currently just an on-chain deposit rather than confirmed selling on the open market, so there is a real chance the pressure eases quickly if the tokens are not actually sold.

Broader crypto market conditions, including Bitcoin's own short-term direction and overall risk appetite, can easily override a clean-looking altcoin setup like this one regardless of how well the trendline has held so far.

ETF wallet transfer: A movement of tokens from a fund's holding wallet to an exchange, often watched as an early signal of potential selling.
