MEME Coin whale shift focus BONK, WIF, BODEN, POPCAT, PUPS

In the fast-paced world of cryptocurrency, meme coins have been making waves, with their prices surging and capturing the attention of investors. While popular coins like Dogecoin and Shiba Inu have long dominated the scene, newer players have been emerging, adding to the frenzy.

However, amid the recent market volatility, some meme coins have lost momentum, while others are gaining traction. Notably, whales, influential holders with significant holdings, are now turning their attention to two particular meme coins, sparking intrigue in the crypto community.

Whale Shifts Focus From BONK, BODEN, & WIF

The meme coins sector has captured the attention of market participants lately, as evidenced by their recent performances. However, it’s worth noting that a flurry of short-term traders take benefit of the low-cost meme coins to book profits.

Meanwhile, recent data from the on-chain tracking platform Lookonchain has revealed a shift in focus among cryptocurrency whales. One notable whale, paulo.sol, has been observed accumulating two meme coins: PUPS and POPCAT. This legendary whale has a history of astute investments, having realized substantial profits on meme coins like BONK, WIF, and BODEN.

According to Lookonchain’s report, paulo.sol’s attention turned towards PUPS and POPCAT after notable success with other meme coins. The report highlights paulo.sol’s strategic moves, including timely investments in BONK, WIF, and BODEN, which yielded impressive returns.

A Closer Look Into The Meme Coin Accumulation

Known as paulo.sol, this legendary figure has amassed significant profits from meme coins like WIF, Boden, and BONK. Notably, paulo.sol’s strategic moves include buying BONK early in November 2023, capitalizing on its rise for a hefty profit. Similarly, WIF and Boden were acquired after their sharp ascent in December 2023 and March 2024, respectively.

Presently, paulo.sol holds substantial quantities of Boden and WIF, valued at $7.6 million and $5.7 million, respectively. However, recent reports indicate a shift in focus as paulo.sol enters the realm of new meme coins.

Meanwhile, he has become the largest holder of PUPS on Solana after investing $5.97 million and acquiring 101,712 tokens since April 11. In addition, paulo.sol has spent $1.77 million on POPCAT, securing 4.3 million tokens at $0.42 each. These moves suggest a calculated strategy by paulo.sol, attracting attention and speculation within the crypto community.

However, despite the recent accumulation, the PUPS price was down 2.24% as of writing and exchanged hands at $36.57, while its trading volume fell 23.67% to $2.82 million. Notably, the crypto has added nearly 5% over the last 30 days.
