Binance CEO Changpeng ‘CZ’ Zhao has offered the assistance of the Binance security team to investigate a hack that resulted in a loss of $8 million for HTX, the crypto exchange formerly known as Huobi. Blockchain analytics firm Cyvers identified the breach that took 5,000 ethers from one of HTX’s hot wallets. HTX has offered 5% of the drained funds as a “white-hat bonus” to minimize the damage. Meanwhile, the Mixin Network saw nearly $200 million lost in a hack that compromised the database of a third-party cloud service provider.
