GUARDIANS. An NFT collection by Devon DeJardin. The Guardians series dives into our preconceived understanding of spirituality and aims to shift the narrative and ideas surrounding the guardians of the world - those that protect, aid, and grow in strength and vulnerability within the boundaries of our world. Guardians are a symbol of non-theological protection, and guidance that can symbolize multiple ideas depending on the viewer’s belief. The inspiration for the Guardians NFT collection came from the desire to explore another juxtaposition - the intersection of traditional and digital media. The collection was created over thousands of hours, through the combination of hand built oil on canvas and computer assembly. Sable and digital brushstrokes. Underpainting and sketched studies merge with diffusion and quantum probability. Together, the controlled and the randomly generated collaborate to produce a unique collection.
