What's Happening in the Cosmos Ecosystem?

<!-- SC_OFF --><div class="md"><p>In the past month, Cosmos (ATOM) became one of the most talked about blockchain ecosystems alongside Ethereum (ETH). Let's look at some of the recent and upcoming events in Cosmos.</p> <p><strong>1. ATOM 2.0</strong></p> <p>ATOM has shown signs of strength since June while the rest of the market has floundered. ATOM 2.0 is set to be revealed at the Cosmoverse tomorrow 26th September 2022. The anticipation surrounding this may have fueled the recent price increase. JUNO Halving.</strong></p> <p>JUNO aims to be a more functional sister network to the Cosmos Hub. Juno's goal is to offload the deployment of smart contracts to a specific permission-less network while maintaining the interoperability, performance, and dependability of the Cosmos Ecosystem.</p> <p>The JUNO Network halving is expected on October 24th, 2022 at block height #5374393. JUNO will cut emissions from the current rate of 40% to 20%.</p> <p><strong>3. EEUR's integration on EVMOS and Regen Network.</strong></p> <p>Not many people are familiar with EEUR, one of the E-money's (NGM) suite of fully compliant, asset-backed, and interest-bearing stablecoins. The fidelity and transparency of e-Money's suite of stablecoins are also ensured by Ernst & Young providing a quarterly Proof of Funds audit. The value of EEUR and the other stablecoins continually shift in line with the interest accrued on the reserve assets.</p> <p>The proposals to register EEUR to EVMOS and to add EEUR to the Regen Ecocredit Marketplace allow list were passed some days ago. These integrations will further expand the adoption of the EEUR stablecoin.</p> <p><strong>4. Comdex's cSwap Dex Testnet.</strong></p> <p>Comdex | CMDX is also one of the promising projects on Cosmos albeit still much unknown to the larger crypto community. The cSwap DEX uses AMM liquidity pools to bring cross-chain markets and limit orders to DeFi.</p> <p>Other rising dApps in the Comdex chain include Commodo Finance and Harbor Protocol.</p> <p><strong>5. SCRT Shockwave Delta Upgrade</strong></p> <p>On Wednesday, 21st September 2022 the Secret Network announced via Twitter that its Shockwave Delta mainnet upgrade had been successfully completed.</p> <p>The upgrade includes an improved developer experience, the introduction of CosmWasm 1.0, SNIP20 tokens transferrable over IBC, and Privacy-as-a-Service for IBC chains and it's expected to onboard hundreds of projects and hundreds of thousands of users.</p> <p>​</p> <p>Cosmos is one of the fastest growing blockchain ecosystems with many upcoming events believed to fuel the next Cosmos wave.
