DogeBall announced on October 1 that its Uniswap token auction was live, following the end of its presale on September 28. The project advertised a $0.015 starting auction price and scheduled token claims for October 12, when it says a trading pool will be created automatically.
The DogeBall presale launched on January 2, 2026. Before closing, the project reported raising $317,037.19 from 1,085 investors. DogeBall combines a dog-themed meme token with a dodgeball game and DOGECHAIN, which it describes as an Ethereum Layer-2 network built for low-cost gaming transactions. Its plans include token-based game rewards and a $1 million prize pool.
The auction adds another token sale before public trading begins. DogeBall says the ETH raised will provide locked trading liquidity, while presale buyers and auction participants will receive access to their tokens at the same scheduled time.
How the DogeBall Auction and Token Claims Will Work
In its September 30 listing announcement, DogeBall described an auction open to anyone, with bids funded in ETH. It presented the $0.015 starting price as matching its previously advertised listing price.
Under Uniswap’s auction framework, bidders choose how much to spend and the maximum price they will pay per token. Bids are processed over the auction period, with demand determining the price at which tokens are allocated. Unspent funds can be claimed afterward.
DogeBall scheduled the auction’s end and token claims for October 12 at 12:00, although the announcement did not explicitly specify a timezone for that closing time. Presale buyers are instructed to connect the wallet used for their purchase to the project’s website and use a claim button that the team plans to add. Auction participants are scheduled to claim at the same time.
After the auction, the project says a Uniswap liquidity pool will be created automatically, allowing holders to sell their claimed tokens. A liquidity pool holds the token and its paired asset, in this case ETH, so traders can exchange between them.
DogeBall committed all ETH raised through the auction to locked liquidity, which it says founders will be unable to withdraw. The announcement did not disclose a lock duration. It also left any additional team-funded liquidity undecided, stating that the amount would not be announced to the community.
The project justified the auction as a way to attract publicity and build liquidity before trading. Its success will depend on actual bids and the resulting pool funding; an auction alone cannot ensure the stable price the team says it wants.
Separately, DogeBall restricted new Telegram members after closing the presale and warned on September 30 that the Telegram link on its website led to a fake scam group. It did not explain the cause. The warning matters for investors awaiting claim instructions, but the available statements do not establish a website breach.
Telegram Restrictions and Scam Link Warning Accompany Launch Announcements
DogeBall’s move toward launch was accompanied by an unusual problem with its official communication channels. In its presale closure announcement, the project said it had locked its Telegram group to new members to prevent scammers from joining, claiming it had removed 10 in 30 minutes.
On September 30, the same day it announced the auction and token claim schedule, DogeBall warned investors that the Telegram link on its own website led to a fake scam group. It urged visitors not to use the link but did not explain how the problem occurred.
A project warning against a social link on its own official website can certainly raise eyebrows about its control over investor communications, particularly as investors await token claims.
