The metaverse sector is red-hot at the moment, with a flurry of projects looking to position themselves at the front and center. One of the projects competing in this space is Affyn, which has recently secured a listing for the FYN token on the Bitrue cryptocurrency exchange.
Affyn is creating a virtual world called Nexus that users can access through their mobile devices. The virtual world remains anchored to the physical world through geolocation – the player’s physical location impacts their experience in Nexus. The game features collectable “Buddies”, which are virtual characters represented through NFTs.
Land in Nexus can be owned by players, who can use it for monetization – players earn a portion of the FYN rewards that are generated on their land, and can lease the land to other users or companies. According to Affyn, the FYN token will also be available as a payment method at merchants partnered with the company, creating another bridge between Nexus and the physical world.
Affyn founder and CEO Lucaz Lee commented on the project’s recent momentum, and focused on the support that Affyn is enjoying from their community:
“It is very heartwarming to be recognized by the community, and we absolutely appreciate their role promoting our project to wider communities. We have worked hard to build a sustainable game economy designed to remain rewarding for both existing and new players forever.”
Lee also touched on the team’s plans for the utility of the FYN token, highlighting its use cases both in the real world and the Nexus virtual world:
“Moreover, we really think that everyone can find value in our FYN tokens, whether by playing our game or exploring its use in the real world to pay for any number of new activities.”
Although the Bitrue listing represents a significant milestone for Affyn, their FYN token is also available on QuickSwap for users who prefer decentralized exchanges. QuickSwap is a popular DEX built on Polygon, the same blockchain platform used by FYN.
