Summary

  • Binance will remove seven spot trading pairs, including LTC/BNB and SUI/BNB, while keeping both cryptocurrencies available through alternative markets for users.
  • Spot Trading Bots linked to affected pairs will terminate alongside the delistings, requiring users to adjust their automated strategies before removal.
  • Binance also plans separate margin pair removals, Conflux network support changes, BNB Smart Chain maintenance, and Sophon deposit restrictions in August.

Binance will remove seven spot trading pairs from its platform, with Litecoin and Sui among the biggest cryptocurrencies affected by the latest update. The exchange confirmed that LTC/BNB and SUI/BNB will stop trading on August 21 at 03:00 UTC. According to Binance, the move follows its routine review of listed spot trading pairs to maintain market quality and protect users.

However, the decision only affects specific trading pairs. Litecoin, Sui, and the other listed cryptocurrencies will remain available on Binance Spot through alternative trading markets.

Besides LTC/BNB and SUI/BNB, Binance will also delist F/USDC, HIVE/USDC, ILV/USDC, NMR/USDC, and STEEM/USDC. Most of the affected markets use USDC as the quote asset, while Litecoin and Sui are paired against BNB.

Binance Expands August Trading Changes

Binance also confirmed that the August 21 update will affect automated trading services linked to the removed markets. The exchange will terminate Spot Trading Bots for all seven trading pairs at the same time the delisting takes effect. As a result, users running automated strategies on those markets should update or cancel their bots before the deadline.

According to Binance, failing to adjust active trading bots could expose users to unnecessary trading risks once support for the affected pairs ends. Meanwhile, the exchange clarified that removing a trading pair does not mean the underlying cryptocurrencies are leaving Binance. Traders will still be able to buy and sell Litecoin, Sui, and the other affected tokens through other supported spot pairs.

Binance regularly reviews its trading markets based on several factors, including liquidity, trading activity, and overall market quality. The exchange periodically removes selected pairs that no longer meet its internal listing standards.

More Binance Updates Scheduled for August

The spot pair removals are part of a broader series of platform updates scheduled throughout August. Binance will also delist several cross margin and isolated margin trading pairs on August 21. The affected cross-margin markets include AUCTION/USDC, BEAMX/USDC, CETUS/USDC, HUMA/USDC, LAYER/USDC, NXPC/USDC, UMA/USDC, and VELODROME/USDC.

Additionally, HUMA/USDC, LAYER/USDC, and NXPC/USDC will be removed from isolated margin trading. Later in the month, Binance will suspend deposits and withdrawals on the Conflux Network to support its network upgrade and hard fork. The exchange will also perform wallet maintenance for BNB Smart Chain and end support for Sophon deposits and withdrawals through the BNB Smart Chain network.

Conclusion

Binance’s latest update targets specific trading markets rather than the cryptocurrencies themselves. Litecoin and Sui holders will still have access to both assets through other supported trading pairs, while users of the affected markets must prepare for the August 21 changes.
