What is sETH?

sETH is a synthetic asset created on the Synthetix platform. It is a tokenized version of Ethereum, meaning it tracks the price of ETH and provides exposure to its value without needing to purchase or store ETH itself. sETH enables users to access the same features as ETH, such as staking and DeFi applications, but with the added benefits of Synthetix’s decentralized derivatives exchange. This allows traders to gain exposure to ETH without having to trust a centralized entity with their funds.

The Synthetix platform also offers other synthetic assets such as sBTC (Bitcoin), sXRP (Ripple) and sLINK (Chainlink).
