Hyperliquid Price Prediction: Will HYPE Hold $76 as U.S. Rules Shift?

Hyperliquid price prediction talk is heating up after HYPE fell 4.62% in 24 hours to $83.50. Bitcoin lost 2.28% in the same period, so HYPE dropped harder than the wider market.

Traders are now split. Some see a bearish chart pattern forming. Others still want $100 and higher.

Why Is HYPE Down Today?

Crypto turned red across the board. The selloff was likely linked to worry after the Binance hack and nerves ahead of the U.S. midterm elections.

HYPE also slipped below a key support area. That added more pressure on a coin that was already moving with a risk-off market.

Derivatives Data Shows Longs Took the Hit

Trading was busy, but traders did not add new bets. Futures volume jumped 80.20% to $2.93 billion, while open interest fell 5.44% to $3.66 billion.

That often means positions were closed, not opened.

Longs took most of the pain. Of the $13.73 million in liquidations, $13.17 million came from long positions. Shorts lost $561.99K.

The overall long/short ratio of 0.9179 leans slightly bearish. Still, Binance and OKX account ratios sit near 1.95. Binance top trader positions show 2.2868. So the picture is mixed.

Revenue and Burns Keep Running

Hyperliquid made $2.68 million in protocol revenue over the last 24 hours. About 32.17K HYPE was burned.

All-time revenue is now $1.49 billion. A total of 50.07 million HYPE has been burned, or 5.01% of supply.

There is another item on the calendar. An estimated 15.3 million USDC from the AQAv2 reserve-yield system is set for distribution on November 3. The system has run since August 26 and sends 90% of reserve yield to the protocol. That money helps fund HYPE purchases.

ETF Flows Cool Off for Now

US spot HYPE ETFs saw a net outflow of $2.86 million as of November 2. Cumulative net inflows still stand at $300.11 million.

Total net assets are $412.02 million, about 2.07% of HYPE's market cap.

  • HYPG (Grayscale): $190.44M in assets, no flow on the day

  • BHYP (Bitwise): $161.64M in assets, $1.41M outflow

  • THYP (21Shares): $59.94M in assets, $1.45M outflow

Hyperliquid Is Benefiting From the U.S. Regulatory Shift

The Binance hack has strengthened the U.S. government’s push for stricter oversight and cybersecurity standards across crypto exchanges.

CFTC Chair Michael Selig is advocating a federal registration pathway for platforms willing to meet U.S. regulatory requirements. Hyperliquid is well-positioned to benefit.

Two major signals stand out:

Government support: Trump previously said the CFTC was working to bring Hyperliquid into the U.S. in a “fully compliant and legal fashion.”

Wall Street adoption: ICE, the NYSE’s parent company, signed a deal with Trade[XYZ] to build U.S.-regulated perpetual futures markets using Hyperliquid’s HIP-3 infrastructure, pending CFTC approval.

As offshore exchanges face growing scrutiny, Hyperliquid is gaining attention from U.S. policymakers and major financial institutions.

This isn’t an official government endorsement of $HYPE, but it puts Hyperliquid in a strong position to benefit from the next wave of regulated onchain markets. Wall Street is moving onchain, and Hyperliquid is becoming part of the infrastructure behind it.

Bears Watch the $76 to $78 Neckline

Analyst Ali Charts points to a possible head-and-shoulders top on the 12-hour chart. The head sits near $97. The right shoulder is near $89.

The setup is not confirmed yet. Here is what he is watching:

  • A sustained 12-hour close below $76 to $78

  • A first target at $62

  • A final target at $59

  • A move back above the right shoulder high would weaken the case

That path points to a drop of about 22%. A bounce from $76 to $78 could stop the pattern from playing out.

Bulls Still Talk About $100 and Beyond

Michaël van de Poppe says HYPE is still aiming for $100 or more. He sees the same move as in August: a sweep of the recent low, a quick bounce, then a push through old highs.

He said he would bid a dip to $80 to $84. His next targets are $112 to $116.

A separate chart view says a clean reclaim of $98 to $99 could open $105 and maybe $111.

What Comes Next for HYPE?

Any Hyperliquid price prediction right now depends on one zone. If HYPE holds $76 to $78, the bearish pattern may fail. If it closes below, the $62 target comes into play.

The numbers back both sides. Revenue and burns are strong, and ETF assets are large. But longs are getting cleared, and flows have turned slightly negative.

Nobody knows which side wins. Watching the neckline may tell more than guessing ahead of it.
