On-chain data shows a divergence between whale and retail BTC activity curious what others think

Been looking at wallet-tier data recently and wanted to see what this community makes of it.

According to Santiment's on-chain tracking, wallets holding 10–10K BTC added roughly 19,700 BTC over an 8-day period this month, while wallets holding under 0.01 BTC pulled back on buying. Separately, CoinDesk reported that whale addresses accumulated over 270,000 BTC in a two-week window earlier this year — described as the largest on-chain accumulation spike on record.

No price predictions here, just trying to understand the pattern: does this kind of wallet-tier divergence actually tell us anything reliable, or is on-chain data overrated as a signal? Genuinely curious how people who've been holding through multiple cycles think about this.
