Dogecoin gained 3.88% to $0.0962 as its first daily golden cross in 14 months brought $0.106 resistance into view. According to TradingView chart data, the 50-day moving average crossed above the 200-day moving average on Dogecoin’s daily chart.
Buyers now face the $0.095 to $0.098 range, which DOGE needs to clear decisively before challenging the September resistance. Dogecoin’s advance previously stalled at $0.106 on September 22, making that level the next major test for its recovery.
A successful breakout could open a path toward $0.12 and $0.16, while the crossover accompanies gains from August lows. DOGE began recovering from approximately $0.06 in mid-August 2026, reclaiming technical barriers that had restricted its price throughout the year.
During the rebound, Dogecoin surpassed its daily 50-day moving average, which had repeatedly limited advances since early 2026. Earlier moves above that indicator in January and May proved brief, leaving buyers unable to establish a sustained upward trend. Price also climbed above the daily 200-day moving average for the first time since October 2025, preceding the golden cross.

Previous Crossover History Meets Expanding DOGE Applications
Dogecoin recorded its previous daily golden cross in August 2025, before reaching $0.30 on September 13 of that year. Selling pressure subsequently erased gains, with DOGE falling from $0.255 to $0.09 during the October 10 cryptocurrency market crash.
The broader selloff generated approximately $20 billion in liquidations, followed by a Dogecoin daily death cross in November 2025. Months of declining prices followed before the August recovery eventually produced the latest crossover between its two moving averages.
Meanwhile, DogeOS launched a public test network supporting Ethereum-style trading, lending, and other applications using DOGE beyond conventional payments. Metallicus also introduced DogecoinVM, a DOGE-compatible ledger on Metal Blockchain that connects Dogecoin with the Metal network.
The project describes its system as offering instant finality and speeds 300 times faster than Dogecoin’s existing network. Dogecoin’s recovery now faces $0.098 and $0.106 resistance. Higher price targets remain dependent on buyers clearing those barriers and maintaining sufficient upward momentum.
