Crypto ETF News Today: BTC, ETH, XRP and SOL Fund Flows

Money flowed back into Bitcoin products on October 28, even as Ethereum and Solana funds lost cash.

This crypto ETF news today update covers all four major categories, using the latest daily numbers and live prices.

Spot Bitcoin ETFs took in $137.33 million, Ethereum funds lost $21.41 million, Solana funds lost $5.66 million, and XRP funds recorded no flow at all. Below, we break down each one in simple words.

When more people buy shares of these funds than sell them, it is called an inflow. When more sell than buy, it is an outflow. Traders follow these daily numbers to understand how large investors feel.

Key Points

  • Bitcoin products recorded $137.33 million in inflows, led by BlackRock’s IBIT with $136.01 million.

  • This is the third straight day of inflows, adding up to $423.6 million.

  • Ethereum ETFs lost $21.41 million, though Fidelity’s FETH still gained $18.78 million.

  • XRP funds saw $0, while Solana funds lost $5.66 million.

Bitcoin ETF Inflow: A Third Straight Day of Buying

According to SoSoValue, spot Bitcoin ETFs took in $137.33 million on October 28. Total net assets are $104.88 billion, and Bitcoin was priced at $81,585.39 on the chart.

This crypto ETF news today matters because of the recent past: the first post says the group lost $773.5 million across October 22 and 23, so the turnaround is sharp.

By our own calculation, the first two days of the inflow streak added about $286 million, with the rest coming on October 28.

Two funds led the way:

These two add up to exactly $137.33 million, which means the others netted out to zero for the day.

IBIT alone made up about 99% of the total. Both traded slightly above the value of the coins they hold, at premiums of 0.42% and 0.43%, and in coin terms the day brought about 1,680 BTC into IBIT and 16.27 BTC into BITB.

IBIT also saw $930.46 million in trading value, while BITB saw $32.51 million. IBIT’s cumulative inflow stands at $66.53 billion, and it charges a 0.25% fee, compared with 0.20% for BITB.

Ethereum ETF Outflow: FETH Is the Bright Spot

Ethereum ETFs recorded a net outflow of $21.41 million, based on SoSoValue data.

Total net assets are $14.27 billion, and Ethereum was priced at $2,371.51 on the chart.

The outflow looks small beside the BTC inflow, yet it continues a pattern, since the daily chart shows red bars on most days since early October.

Total net assets were $14.57 billion on October 22, so they have slipped by about $0.3 billion in six days.

One fund bucked the trend. The post says Fidelity’s FETH posted the largest individual inflow at $18.78 million.

For the total to end at a $21.41 million outflow, the remaining funds must have lost about $40.19 million together, according to our own arithmetic.

XRP and Solana ETFs: One Flat, One Red

XRP funds had a quiet day. The SoSoValue XRP chart shows a daily flow of $0, total net assets of $1.51 billion, and an XRP price of $1.34.

Earlier in the chart, which starts on September 8, green bars appear more often than red, so a flat day is a pause, not a reversal.

SoSo Value live data SOL

The Solana side lost $5.66 million, as shown on the SoSoValue Solana chart. Total net assets are $1.56 billion, and Solana was priced at $103.06.

Since September 30, most bars are red, so the trend remains negative even though the amounts are small.

What the Numbers Mean for the Market

Here is the full picture for October 28:

Fund Type

Daily Flow

Total Net Assets

Bitcoin

+$137.33M

$104.88B

Ethereum

-$21.41M

$14.27B

XRP

$0

$1.51B

Solana

-$5.66M

$1.56B

That is a positive day, but one day does not make a trend, and the price tells a mixed story.

Here is what to watch next:

  • Whether Bitcoin products extend the streak to a fourth day

  • If Ethereum outflows continue or FETH-style inflows spread to other products

  • Whether XRP funds return to inflows after the flat day

  • If Solana outflows slow down

Conclusion

This crypto ETF news today shows demand returning to Bitcoin products, led almost entirely by IBIT, while Ethereum and Solana remain under pressure, and XRP waits.

Readers following crypto ETF news today should check daily flow updates, since one strong day can reverse quickly.
