Blockchain-Based Decentralized HD Mapping Platform Launches Lidar-Powered DePIN Device and Prepares for $ROVR Token Launch
ROVR Network, the blockchain-native platform pioneering decentralized high-definition 3D mapping, today announced the close of its $2.6 million seed funding round, co-led by Borderless Capital and GEODNET, with additional participation from additional angel investors and IoTeX.
ROVR, short for Robotically Operated Vehicle Research, is building the world’s first decentralized 3D mapping protocol, delivering real-time, regulatory-compliant geospatial data for the autonomous vehicle industry and research in Spatial AI. This funding will accelerate global operations, hardware deployment, and community-powered data collection.
ROVR is the first Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network (DePIN) to combine LiDAR and Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) positioning to achieve centimeter-accurate, street-level mapping. This breakthrough enables a scalable, open-source alternative to proprietary HD maps used in self-driving vehicles.

Global Expansion and Silicon Valley Hub
ROVR has expanded its team across North America, Asia, and Europe, reinforcing its vision of a borderless, decentralized mapping network. The company has also opened a new Silicon Valley office, which will serve as a key hub for partnership development, research, and operations.

ROVR Network has announced that the $ROVR Token Generation Event (TGE) has occurred concurrently with this announcement, ahead of the original schedule. The $ROVR token will serve as the backbone of the platform’s contributor incentives and decentralized data economy.
