Cardano blockchain has regained attention in the market following a significant recovery in its ADA token, attracting both whales and regular traders once again. The revival comes after a lengthy period when enthusiasm for ADA failed to match the excitement seen in earlier market cycles.
Recent data from market intelligence platform Santiment shows that Cardano’s market capitalization has increased by 42% since September 16. This powerful recovery has pushed the price of ADA to approximately $0.25 as of this writing.
Cardano’s Market Value Surges as Whales Return
Santiment reported that there were 413 ADA transactions valued at least $100,000 in a single day, marking the highest daily count since June. These transactions provide insight into how actively larger holders are engaging with the asset as it suddenly regains market momentum.
The latest development is significant for Cardano, as whale movements had not sparked much excitement for several months. However, the recent surge aligns with a substantial recovery of the token.
Meanwhile, Cardano has garnered a larger share of discussions in the crypto space, with ADA’s social dominance reaching 1.16%, the highest level recorded in 2026, especially as its price rose sharply. The shift from approximately $0.19 to $0.25 has made the token hard to overlook for traders monitoring recovering altcoins.
For traders who have experienced months of stagnant price movement, this sudden change represents something more concrete than just another distant development.
Catalyst Behind Cardano’s Renewed Strength
One major factor contributing to Cardano’s recent revival is RealFi, an RWA lending and stablecoin protocol that launched on Cardano mainnet on October 1 after months of preparation and testing. The launch marks a significant shift in Cardano’s ambitions in real-world finance, moving from experimental phases to a fully functional infrastructure, thereby providing users with a convincing reason to engage with the platform.
RealFi’s debut followed a successful testnet that attracted over 3,000 verified active wallets, indicating growing interest and engagement within the community.
In addition, attention is shifting towards Ouroboros Leios, Cardano’s upcoming scalability upgrade currently in development. Leios aims to significantly increase transaction throughput while maintaining Cardano’s focus on security and decentralization.
Moreover, institutional blockchain company Fireblocks has announced its plan to support Cardano native tokens (CNTs) from March 2027. This move aims to bring the L1 blockchain’s tokens to institutional custody and transfer capabilities on a global scale. This integration is expected to improve accessibility for banks, exchanges, payment companies, and fintech businesses that rely on Fireblocks.
