Ondo Brings Tokenized Stocks To Hyperliquid’s HyperEVM Through LayerZero
Ondo Brings Tokenized Stocks To Hyperliquid’s HyperEVM Through LayerZero

Ondo Finance has expanded its tokenized stocks and ETFs to Hyperliquid’s HyperEVM through LayerZero, bringing onchain equity exposure closer to one of crypto’s most active perpetual trading ecosystems.

The integration allows Ondo tokenized assets to be bridged from Ethereum and BNB Chain to HyperEVM through Ondo Bridge, powered by LayerZero. Ondo said spot positions in tokenized stocks can now unlock more advanced strategies for Hyperliquid traders, including basis trades and delta-neutral hedging on applicable markets.

That is the important market shift. Hyperliquid has become known for high-volume perpetual trading, where users take leveraged exposure to crypto and other listed markets. Ondo’s tokenized stocks add a spot-style asset layer that can sit beside those derivatives. A trader can hold tokenized equity exposure and use perps to hedge, isolate funding, or structure trades that are not purely directional.

The assets are not the same as holding shares through a traditional broker. Ondo Global Markets tokenized assets are designed to provide economic exposure to publicly traded securities, including price action and eligible distributions, subject to product terms and jurisdictional restrictions. They do not automatically give users shareholder voting rights or the full legal profile of direct stock ownership.

Felix And Melt Move First

Felix Protocol and Melt Finance are among the first HyperEVM protocols to integrate Ondo tokenized stocks and ETFs. Felix had already been moving tokenized equities into the Hyperliquid ecosystem, giving eligible non-U.S. users access to hundreds of tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs through its trading interface.

For HyperEVM, the expansion adds more than another asset list. It gives protocols new building blocks for lending, collateral, structured trades, and portfolio strategies tied to real-world markets. If tokenized equities become usable across HyperEVM apps, traders could move between spot stock exposure, crypto collateral, perps, lending markets, and hedging tools without leaving the same onchain environment.

That fits the broader real-world asset race. Tokenized Treasuries, equities, commodities, and money-market products are no longer only passive wrappers for traditional assets. They are becoming programmable collateral that can be plugged into DeFi trading systems. Recent CryptoAdventure coverage of tokenized gold volume and Aster’s Hong Kong equity perps shows the same market direction: traditional exposure is moving toward crypto-native execution, settlement, and leverage.

Tokenized Equities Meet Perp Liquidity

The strongest part of the Ondo-HyperEVM setup is the combination of spot exposure and derivatives liquidity. Perpetual traders often need ways to hedge, build market-neutral positions, or manage basis risk. Tokenized stocks and ETFs can give them another leg of the trade, especially when synthetic equity perps or related markets exist alongside spot-style assets.

The risk profile is still different from normal equity investing. Traders must consider bridge risk, token issuer terms, liquidity depth, oracle design, jurisdictional restrictions, collateral rules, and the difference between tokenized exposure and direct ownership. Moving stocks onchain does not remove market risk. It changes how that risk is accessed, moved, financed, and hedged.

Ondo’s HyperEVM expansion gives Hyperliquid’s ecosystem a clearer RWA layer at a time when onchain traders are asking for more than crypto-only leverage. The next measurable signal will be liquidity: how much tokenized stock volume appears on HyperEVM, how quickly Felix and Melt turn those assets into usable collateral or structured trades, and whether perp traders treat tokenized equities as real portfolio tools rather than a short-lived listing headline.
