Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies won't totally replace fiat currencies just like paper money didn't make gold useless. Though unquestionably its strength will be diminished.

I’m a huge crypto fanatic and I’m all in for crypto mainstream adoption.
However I’m also realistic and think that it’s a little foolish to think crypto will completely cut out fiat from the equation.
It will however have a great impact on decreasing government control/manipulation over the populous.
This will especially be prominent once projects like SoftNote are embracing the idea of merging traditional money and cryptocurrency become more popular giving people control over their finances.
I think fiat will still exist and have some sort of application in the real world (especially in underdeveloped countries with no tech) but it will most definitely not hold as much power as today. Let me know your thoughts.
