Dan Weinberger, the CEO of Morpheus.Network, sat down with the former CEO of DHL Global, Roger Crook, to discuss how Morpheus.Network is revolutionizing port management by leveraging emerging technologies to make port operations more efficient globally. Roger explained that ports face issues due to a lack of workforce and delivery delays. He talked about the hundreds of essential ports globally that are struggling with these issues and added companies like Morpheus.Network has a massive role in solving the ongoing disruptions in port operations worldwide.
One growing threat to supply chain operations is Climate Change. Dan recently spoke about the role of supply chain in fighting Climate Change at the International Association for Trusted Blockchain Applications (IATBA) webinar April 29, 2022".
Roger and Dan discussed the recent contract between Morpheus.Network and Gulftainer — one of the largest privately-owned port operators globally, which was signed at the Gulftainer headquarters in Dubai with Co-Founder & COO Noam Eppel and Global Head of Business Development Karl Mcdermott.
Dan expressed his excitement about working with Gultainer and how working with such an experienced team expressed how he believes that this partnership will benefit both parties and lead to more opportunities, as they work towards building a decentralized global shipping ecosystem that is transparent, secure and cost-effective for all industry stakeholders
Roger further added that the supply chain crunch is here to stay in 2022 and beyond. He and Dan agreed that it was an excellent opportunity for Morpheus.Network to help companies understand the utility of interoperability of technologies including blockchain and help them make their port operations more efficient with Morpheus.Network’s ground-breaking solutions.
With port systems, it is all about the data. Our middleware is perfectly equipped to bring all the various data points of a port system together into the same platform where we weave all the segregated processes into a single immutable digital footprint on the blockchain. Our platform recently enhanced its vessel and container visibility through our partnership with Chain.io.
We believe an excellent way to improve transparency for the industry is by using public and decentralized blockchains. An immutable record of data will cut costs throughout supply chains and eliminate overhead spending that is possible under an opaque environment. It is a similar approach to what Morpheus.Network is doing with SENASA (part of the government of Argentina) for their chemical certificates. Ultimately, we aim to bring all port system stakeholders together on one platform. With the Morpheus.Network middleware platform, we are providing the solution for a “one-stop-shop” and an opportunity to disrupt the trillion dollars global shipping industry in a meaningful way because it focuses on solving real problems
We sincerely thank Roger for his time and for offering his insight to Dan and the community. We look forward to seeing him next time!
