XRP and ADA Edge Closer to Deeper Losses as Sellers Test Key Floors

Three Things to Know
- Fresh outflows from Bitcoin ETFs are draining demand that XRP and Cardano lean on.
- Both tokens trade below their 50-day and 200-day averages, and sellers still steer momentum.
- XRP is drifting toward the floor that launched its August rally, and traders want to see if buyers return.
Money keeps leaving Bitcoin funds, and the selling is spilling into the altcoin market. XRP and Cardano have both slid this week as institutional demand cools.
That matters because neither coin has its own steady fund buyers to cushion a drop. Both charts now sit close to nearby support zones. Traders face one question: will buyers defend those floors again, or will another wave of Bitcoin outflows push both tokens lower?
Bitcoin ETF Outflows Leave XRP Without a Safety Net
US spot Bitcoin ETFs keep losing money. The funds posted a net outflow of about $430 million on Nov 5, according to daily fund flow data. That followed exits of roughly $643 million on Oct 30. Another $636 million left on Oct 22.
The damage adds up. Cumulative net inflows have slipped from near $58 billion to about $56 billion since late October. The main channel of fresh institutional demand is now running in reverse.
XRP has no verified US spot ETF flow data of its own. That leaves the token tied to Bitcoin's direction, with no separate buyer base to soften a slide.
The gap to past highs shows the strain. XRP would need to rise about 209% to revisit its record near $3.65, set in July 2025. Bitcoin needs roughly 67% to reclaim its peak near $126,000.
Over the past year, XRP lost about 47%, while Bitcoin fell about 26%.
Interest is rising anyway. Wikipedia views of the XRP Ledger page jumped about 75% week over week.
XRP Drifts Toward the $0.99 Floor That Launched August's Rally

XRP traded near $1.16 on Friday. The token is down about 7% over the past week and about 18% over the past month. Sellers have controlled most of that stretch.
The moving averages confirm the pressure. XRP trades below its 50-day average near $1.32. It also trades under its 200-day average near $1.36. Both lines now act as ceilings, so any rally runs into traders looking to sell.
Momentum looks tired as well. RSI, a 0 to 100 gauge of momentum, reads 32 on the daily chart. That puts XRP close to oversold territory, where selling often starts to exhaust itself. MACD still sits below its signal line, which means momentum keeps pointing down.
The trend gauge offers one point in the bulls' favor. It shows no strong trend in either direction. The decline has been steady, but it lacks the force of a true breakdown.
That leaves one level that matters most. The nearest support sits near $0.99, and the data shows no floor below it. The same zone launched XRP's sharp move in August, when the token climbed to $1.27 in four days. Buyers defended that area once. Traders will watch whether they show up again.
A break under that level would remove the last nearby floor. It would also push XRP below a round number that many traders track. Without ETF flows to absorb supply, a slip there could draw in more sellers.
Any bounce faces its own walls. First resistance sits near $1.25, just under the August peak. Above that, the next cap waits near $1.31, right below the 50-day average. Bulls need to clear both before the picture changes.
Cardano Sellers Hold the Wheel Just Above $0.17

Cardano looks weaker than XRP on most measures. ADA traded near $0.18 on Friday after a monthly drop of about 28%. That slide runs well ahead of XRP's losses over the same stretch.
The token trades below both its 50-day and 200-day averages, near $0.21 and $0.23. Both lines sit overhead as ceilings, and sellers have room to work before either comes into play.
Trend strength marks the biggest difference between the two coins. XRP's decline lacks force, but ADA's shows a real trend, and sellers are the ones driving it. That makes a quick reversal harder to build.
RSI reads 35, a weak reading that sits a few points above oversold. Selling pressure has not yet stretched far enough to invite strong bargain hunting. MACD stays below its signal line, so momentum still points lower.
Price now hovers just above the first floor. Support sits near $0.17 on the daily chart, and a break there opens the way to the next level near $0.16.
Upside hurdles start close by. First resistance waits near $0.20, a round level where rallies have stalled. Above that, the next cap lines up with the 50-day average. Bulls would need to clear both to loosen the sellers' grip.
What Flips the Script Over the Next Three Days
Two clear triggers should decide the next leg for both tokens.
- Bullish: XRP reclaims its first resistance just under the August peak, and ADA climbs back over its round-number ceiling. That would put both coins on course for their next caps near the 50-day averages. A daily close back under Friday's trading levels would cancel the setup.
- Bearish: XRP loses the floor that launched August's rally, and ADA breaks its first support. That opens ADA's lower floor and leaves XRP without nearby support. Recoveries above those same first resistance levels would invalidate it.
Sellers Keep the Edge for Now
Both charts still lean toward more tests of support. Sellers hold the trend on each coin, and neither token has reclaimed a single resistance level. Until that happens, bounces look like chances to sell.
The bigger risk sits with Bitcoin. Another run of ETF outflows would hit XRP first, since it lacks its own fund demand. ADA would likely follow, and both floors could give way fast.
