What to Know

  • Bitcoin and Ethereum declined as selling pressure spread across major cryptocurrencies, while XRP, Solana, and Dogecoin recorded steeper losses.
  • Hyperliquid resisted broader market weakness, gaining 1.7% as its trading volume surpassed $1.05 billion during the measured market session.
  • Quantix Finance led smaller gainers with a 150.3% surge, while Cortex, Lobster, Pons, and OpenEden also advanced strongly in value.

The cryptocurrency market recorded widespread losses as Bitcoin and several major altcoins traded lower during the latest reporting period. Bitcoin (BTC) dropped 2.2% to $78,987.07, despite generating $34.41 billion in trading volume.

Its market capitalization remained dominant at $1.59 trillion, reflecting Bitcoin’s substantial influence across the broader cryptocurrency market. However, the decline placed BTC below the $79,000 level and established a cautious tone among leading digital assets.

Ethereum (ETH) also weakened, losing 1.9% to trade at $2,465.42 during the measured period. The second-largest cryptocurrency generated $12.80 billion in volume, while its market capitalization reached approximately $297.51 billion.

Additionally, BNB (BNB) fell 2.7% to $698.91, with trading volume standing near $887.18 million. Its market value remained above $93.03 billion, keeping BNB among the five largest cryptocurrencies by capitalization.

XRP (XRP) experienced a steeper decline, falling 5.3% to $1.44 amid $3.42 billion in trading activity. Consequently, XRP’s market capitalization slipped to approximately $90.09 billion, placing it slightly behind BNB in the rankings.

Solana and Dogecoin Face Stronger Selling Pressure

Solana (SOL) declined 5% and traded at $97.00, following $3.85 billion in recorded trading volume. Its market capitalization stood at $56.59 billion, maintaining SOL’s position among the largest non-stablecoin digital assets.

Meanwhile, TRON (TRX) decreased 1.9% to $0.3378, with volume reaching approximately $548.75 million. TRX retained a market capitalization of $32.06 billion despite the broader weakness affecting major cryptocurrencies.

Hyperliquid (HYPE) resisted the market downturn and advanced 1.7% to $82.05. Significantly, HYPE attracted $1.05 billion in trading volume and maintained a market capitalization above $18.25 billion.

Dogecoin (DOGE) suffered the largest decline among several prominent cryptocurrencies, dropping 6.5% to $0.08675. Trading volume reached $739.02 million, while the meme coin’s market capitalization stood at approximately $13.50 billion.

Moreover, Zcash (ZEC) declined 7.6% to $789.04 despite recording $1.16 billion in trading volume. That performance represented the steepest percentage loss among the major non-stablecoin assets included in the market rankings.

Quantix Finance Leads Top Gainers With 150% Rally

Smaller cryptocurrencies delivered stronger gains, led by Quantix Finance (QFI), which surged 150.3% to $25.17. However, QFI’s trading volume remained relatively modest at $2.19 million, highlighting limited liquidity compared with larger assets.

Cortex (CX) gained 69.1% to $0.03421, although its trading volume reached only $82,451. Lobster (龙虾) climbed 38.1% to $0.03529 while attracting a stronger $11.73 million in trading activity.

Pons (PONS) advanced 32% to $0.1171, supported by trading volume of approximately $22.81 million. Besides, OpenEden (EDEN) rose 26.8% to $0.06122 as volume reached $23.17 million.

Conclusion

Major cryptocurrencies faced broad selling pressure, while several lower-ranked assets posted substantial gains. Nevertheless, limited liquidity among some gainers may increase volatility and produce rapid price changes.
