UAE Grants First Virtual Asset License as EmCoin Launches Crypto Platform

Emirates Coin Investment LLC (EmCoin) has made history in the United Arab Emirates financial sector by obtaining the first Virtual Asset license from the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA). With the SCA approval, EmCoin is permitted to introduce a full suite of regulated services, combining digital asset trading, portfolio management, and investment access to both traditional and new financial products. 

Yasin Arafat, EmCoin’s Chief Operating Officer, described the development as a landmark for both the company and the broader sector. According to Arafat, EmCoin now offers “everyday investors the tools to take control of their financial future with clarity, compliance, and confidence.” The platform aims to eliminate the complexity often associated with fragmented, unregulated providers by consolidating a variety of asset classes under robust regulatory oversight.
