A Tamagotchi for your crypto savings.

gm r/CryptoCurrency looking for honest feedback on something I've been building for the past 6 days, and I'd genuinely love to be told if this is a terrible idea.

The concept: Finagotchi is a Tamagotchi-style companion, except your pet is a living NFT on Solana and it lives on a small physical desktop device (ESP32 + screen) that sits next to your keyboard.

How it works:

• Mint a genesis creature for ~$10 in SOL.
• Complete daily quests (finance/consistency habits) to earn XP and points.
• Spend points to feed your pet, play on-chain mini-games against other players.
• The hardware device shows your pet and equipped collectibles in real time.

The part I keep arguing with myself about: if you neglect your pet, the NFT dies. There's a 5-hour rescue window where you can pay extra to save it or invite 2 other people to the companion app, but after that it's gone forever. No recovery.

My thesis: streak apps and habit trackers fail because there's no real loss. "Your pet died" hits different when the pet was an on-chain asset you owned. Loss aversion is a stronger motivator than any notification.

But I might be wrong maybe people just rage-quit and hate me for it.

What I'm actually asking:

1. Would the burn mechanic keep you engaged, or would it make you never mint in the first place?
2. Is ~$10 the right entry price for a genesis mint?
3. Desktop hardware device: cool desk object or gimmick you'd skip?
