The cryptocurrency market recorded widespread losses as Bitcoin (BTC) fell below $83,000, while Ethereum (ETH), XRP, and Solana (SOL) faced heavier selling pressure. The downturn affected several leading digital assets, with Solana recording one of the largest declines among major cryptocurrencies.
According to CoinGecko data, Bitcoin (BTC) declined 0.6% over the past 24 hours to $82,446.99, with trading volume reaching $40.73 billion, while the leading cryptocurrency maintained a market capitalization of $1.65 trillion despite trading below the $83,000 level.
Ethereum (ETH) suffered a larger decline, dropping 3.0% to $2,494.28 as its daily trading volume reached $18.40 billion, while XRP lost 1.8% to trade at $1.40, with its market capitalization standing at approximately $88.25 billion.
Solana (SOL) recorded heavier losses, falling 5.0% to $110.54, with its trading volume reaching $5.03 billion, placing the cryptocurrency among the hardest-hit major digital assets during the trading session. BNB dropped 3.8% to $742.90, bringing its market capitalization to approximately $98.92 billion, while Dogecoin (DOGE) declined 4.2% to $0.08539, with trading volume reaching $1.10 billion.
Zcash (ZEC) experienced an even larger decline, falling 6.0% to $1,221.36 as trading activity reached $1.56 billion, while Hyperliquid (HYPE) dropped 2.9% to $85.62, bringing its market capitalization to approximately $19.04 billion.
TRON (TRX) also recorded losses, declining 1.2% to $0.3321, while its daily trading volume stood at $371.84 million, reflecting the broader weakness affecting major cryptocurrencies.

Hood Sword Inu and Origin Token Defy Broader Market Decline
Despite widespread losses among leading cryptocurrencies, several smaller tokens recorded significant gains, reflecting contrasting price movements across the market. Hood Sword Inu (HOODINU) led the gainers, surging 346.9% to $0.04917, with trading volume reaching $10.30 million. Origin Token (OGN) followed with a 96.9% increase to $0.04463, generating approximately $285.78 million in trading volume.
Elsewhere, Janction (JCT) advanced 46.7% to $0.002316, while ELYSIA (EL) gained 46.6% to reach $0.002369. Starknet (STRK) also recorded a substantial increase, climbing 40.4% to $0.06896 as its trading volume reached $394.14 million. Additionally, iExec RLC (RLC) rose 28.7% to $0.8763, while Talus (US) gained 27.9% to $0.01949.
The contrasting performances showed that gains remained concentrated among selected smaller cryptocurrencies despite widespread declines across major digital assets. Overall, Bitcoin’s position below $83,000 accompanied broader losses across Ethereum, XRP, Solana, and other leading cryptocurrencies.
